SuperMikey Posted 11 August, 2011 Posted 11 August, 2011 Wasn't he described in our OS news story about him signing as "a future England international"? Can't seem to find the article, but if somebody could dig that up I quite fancy a laugh!
Pahars_Legend Posted 11 August, 2011 Posted 11 August, 2011 What I find is that the club seem to share the same views as the fans and with good reasoning! The only info on the saints site about the move is a sentence at the bottom of the article about a completely different player. Whenever I have seen images or videos of the players training, Tommy is never seen even when Bart/Davis are present. Despite Forecast being fully fit we still didn't rely on him and got Shea on loan from Arsenal.
Hatch Posted 11 August, 2011 Posted 11 August, 2011 People are assuming he's going to be their No.1 Keeper. or even a keeper. Could be on the turnstiles or flipping burgers.
Saint 76er Posted 11 August, 2011 Posted 11 August, 2011 The incident at Eastleigh probably precluded this and it must tell Fourpast all he needs to know about his standing at SMS as the gap between the NPC and Thurrock is huge. This would appear to be something of a banishment as there is nothing in it for Saints other than getting him out of the way, even though it leaves us short of a third choice keeper and bearing in mind Saints will still be paying his alleged 4k wages (cos Thurrock certainly won't be!). In L1 we seemed to run into endless keepers in top form, surely one of those could be recruited for the third keeper spot with a view to future advancement?
Golden Balls Posted 11 August, 2011 Posted 11 August, 2011 Also all the stories about him "hitting a girl because some lads heckled him" - yeah I'm sure that's true, bet he's been arrested for it as well? Sorry to disappoint you, but it is true. I witnessed it and it was COMPLETELY unprovoked (by her...he did just get knocked to the floor by someone half his size) It happened after the Walsall game outside 90 degrees. He was giving it the large one inside and starting on everyone who dared make eye contact. Soon enough, he got a smack. He then reacted by hitting a girl next to him who was probably laughing. Everyone had their name taken as witnesses. No idea why it wasn't followed up, guessing she didn't press charges.
Dark Munster Posted 11 August, 2011 Posted 11 August, 2011 Where the hell is Thurrock? Somewhere in Scotland I think.
david in sweden Posted 11 August, 2011 Posted 11 August, 2011 Good luck to them! THURROCK ? ..where on earth is that? take away his GPS... and maybe he'll lose his way back.
Bartosz Bialkowski Posted 11 August, 2011 Posted 11 August, 2011 The bloke is an utter ****, good riddance to the w@nker
Crab Lungs Posted 11 August, 2011 Posted 11 August, 2011 I think for most people it has something to do with the fact he lamped some girl in a bar in town for no other reason that some lads were heckling him (and rightly so). Arrogant Pr**k! I wouldn't hold that against him... most people in town on nights out are utter pr1cks.
saint-ross Posted 11 August, 2011 Posted 11 August, 2011 The bloke is an utter ****, good riddance to the w@nker LOL if the real Bart came out and said that on the OS :-)
Julian H. Cope Posted 11 August, 2011 Posted 11 August, 2011 I know a certain ex goalkeeping coach who used to refer to him as 'Tommy no fingers'.
captainchris Posted 11 August, 2011 Posted 11 August, 2011 I've seen him play and he didn't look that bad - what have you been expecting to see from a 3rd choice keeper for a third division side for the last couple of years? Also all the stories about him "hitting a girl because some lads heckled him" - yeah I'm sure that's true, bet he's been arrested for it as well? Whereas Barnard is still lauded as a hero by many on here? I couldn't care less about Forecast, he might be a bit of a knob, probably gets paid a bit more than he should and obviously isn't exactly the best keeper in the world, but why do we have to have a thread about him each week on here? The league we were in is a total red herring and I believe anyway we wern't in that league when he joined us - not that it makes the slightest difference........
cellone Posted 11 August, 2011 Posted 11 August, 2011 If He is half as bad as some say (moral conduct and football skills wise) let's hope he finds a place in other parts where his skill and conduct can be better honed (quickly) and stays there.
david in sweden Posted 12 August, 2011 Posted 12 August, 2011 Good luck to them! I'm more than a bit miffed at the lying bar stewards at Tottenham, who used the Bale deal to get rid if him (Forecast) onto us, England keeper in the future, my a'rse. I think we owe them one. ..'arry .wanna buy Jason Puncheon by any chance?...Good deal, there's something in it for you .....
niceandfriendly Posted 12 August, 2011 Posted 12 August, 2011 One of the luckiest men on the planet has just joined one of the unluckiest football teams. Best of luck to you Thurrock.
Golden Balls Posted 12 August, 2011 Posted 12 August, 2011 I bet if we had a poll of the worst ever Saints players (including Ali Dia), Forecast would win.
Littlelat17 Posted 12 August, 2011 Posted 12 August, 2011 As Saints are away this weekend and Im working in the morning so cant get to Barnsley, Ill be up at Salisbury Citys game on Saturday afternoon - Just so happens Salisbury are at home to.... THURROCK on Saturday!!! Ill certainly be hoping he picks a few balls on of his net! ;-) Anyone else who has a free afternoon pop along and see how many he ships in
sussexsaint Posted 12 August, 2011 Posted 12 August, 2011 Is it fair to say Dexter Blackstock made a better keeper?
SaintRichmond Posted 12 August, 2011 Posted 12 August, 2011 Is it fair to say Dexter Blackstock made a better keeper? Compared to Tommy Outcast, Dexter was worthy of an Englan call-up
Golden Balls Posted 12 August, 2011 Posted 12 August, 2011 Compared to Tommy Outcast, Dexter was worthy of an Englan call-up Kept a clean sheet against a premier league side.
hughieslastminutegoal Posted 12 August, 2011 Posted 12 August, 2011 No, the being a complete ***** thing is separate. Forgetting that, he is so bad it's actually worth trying to see him play. I've seen him beaten by painfully slow shots, fumble the ball with no-one in sight, save shots that were going 10 metres wide, leave 90% of the goal open when closing down an attacker, and genuinely look scared of the ball coming towards him. Can't catch, can't dive and can't kick. Perhaps he's helped himself to too much from behind the bar and has lost whatever talent he had? If not, did we sign him without having seen him play at all? If so, one can only assume that somehow we discounted his 4 year wages against what we were paid, which begs the question: did Spurs pay over the odds in order to do TF a favour? If they just wanted him off their books, they'd probably have been better off getting rid themselves, rather than pay us to give him a four year contract. Or maybe they just saw us coming.
Littlelat17 Posted 13 August, 2011 Posted 13 August, 2011 Well believe it or not, Forepast was only beaten once in a 1-1 draw on his debut - and he saved a penalty at 0-0. Early on he flapped at a couple of crosses and elected to (try and) punch, his goalkicks throughout were more suited to rugby as he found touch more often than not! Other than that he had mostly comfortable shots to gather and he had no chance with the Salisbury goal. He may have found his level!

Cant criticise him for finding toucj with goal kicks cos Kelvin had a spell of doing that a while back !
sussexsaint Posted 13 August, 2011 Posted 13 August, 2011 Ah the contrast. His team mates are bathing in the glow of being top and are growing together as a team (karaoke last night according to DeRidders tweets). four past is celebrating a draw with Thurrock.

Give the lad a chance, he's not match fit yet. ;-) Although I'm no fan of hounding players out who's only actual crime is not living up to expectations, the wages thing is 100% NOT his fault and only a fool would walk away from 4k a week. Having said that, I would love to be behind his gaol and do the 'ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh, you're ****' if he ever visits sms as an opposing player. Are Thurrock in the FA Cup still?
hamster Posted 13 August, 2011 Posted 13 August, 2011 6th December - Thurrock visit Eastleigh. Carling don't do extended loan deals but......
david in sweden Posted 14 August, 2011 Posted 14 August, 2011 Good luck to them! whilst OS blazed headlines about Ryan Doble's loan out to B'mouth, I can't see any real mention of " Fourpast's" sojourn to Thurrock. Maybe we are too embarrased to mention his name. Think I would be.
Denzil Posted 14 August, 2011 Posted 14 August, 2011 There's a photo of him and Barnard floating around somewhere, with Barnard looking at him like he's a complete spanner. Can anyone find it?
whizzpop Posted 21 August, 2011 Posted 21 August, 2011 Looking at the Thurrock's 3-0 drubbing by Weston Super Mare yesterday I kind of expected him to be in goal...turns out he's a substitute for a Conference south team that's struggling already. This speaks volumes for all the doubters out there still!

Thedelldays Posted 21 August, 2011 Posted 21 August, 2011 I honestly think he may be the worst culprit in the earnings/quality ratio. I know a lot of top flight players get huge wages and some aren't that great, but they're clearly decent professional sportsmen. It's a completely different trick to have zero ability and earn a 6 figure salary. stop being such a tart.... we have had countless players of the years, probably more than likely, should imagine earning more than forecast who were not fit for purpose
ottery st mary Posted 21 August, 2011 Posted 21 August, 2011 The Thurrock goalkeeper keeping him out of the side ...has only one arm or was it one eye? Does not make Mr Forecast a bad goalie.....he may have had a stomach upset on the day:( He is our 5th choice goalkeeper and I would ask my fellow fans not to take the piiish he is a very young goalkeeper who may well develop late in life:scared:.......a Spurs fan told me that;)
spyinthesky Posted 22 August, 2011 Posted 22 August, 2011 Understand that Rupert Lowe agrees too He forecasted that young Tommy would turn into a splendid custodian
SaintBobby Posted 22 August, 2011 Posted 22 August, 2011 Does anyone care that our third string keeper is pretty damned cr@p? I'm happy to have a Conference South quality goalkeeper as our back-up. If either Kelvin or Bart got seriously injured, we'd seek to bring in someone on loan, I'd imagine.

That money could be better spent elsewhere, or given to a worthwhile charity...the club might even offset it against tax. As a serious point though, can we invoke the "emergency loan" for a GK if at the time we still have a third choice fit and available to us ?

Badger Posted 22 August, 2011 Posted 22 August, 2011 This. Not really a big deal that our 3rd choice keeper is cr4p. Except that we might be forced to use him, although I assume we have other GK's in the Academy squads who might prove more reliable.

As a serious point though, can we invoke the "emergency loan" for a GK if at the time we still have a third choice fit and available to us ? Obviously the key word is goalkeeper. I expect when we asked Spurs what he was like as a keeper, we were told "he's really something else". They had that right.
dronskisaint Posted 22 August, 2011 Posted 22 August, 2011 Except that we might be forced to use him, although I assume we have other GK's in the Academy squads who might prove more reliable. On the evidence of a whole pre-season friendly at Kettering I'd say we have two that looked competent
skintsaint Posted 2 September, 2011 Posted 2 September, 2011 noticed he was back in training yesterday so Thurrock didnt want his loan extended.
Redondo Saint Posted 2 September, 2011 Posted 2 September, 2011 I had a look at the Thurrock website and it looks like they didn't use him once!!! Despite leaking many goals he still didn't get to displace their own keeper!!
1976_Child Posted 2 September, 2011 Posted 2 September, 2011 (edited) I remember a lot of people on here slagging off KD for being a 'sh-t keeper' when he first joined. Forecast is doing his job, doing all that is asked of him under his contract and I guess that there is some serious sour grapes to be sucked by the infantile delusional brigade on this board who like to 'big themselves up' by pretending they know the character of someone because their mate's aunty's dog walker happened to over hear something in a bar one night.. Some folk on this board are really pathetic. Leave Forecast alone and get a life, all of you. Because he has a life, and is being paid handsomely for it unlike most of you losers who are probably stuck in dead-end jobs with no prospects. Ha! Ha! The last laugh is on you! Losers. Edited 2 September, 2011 by 1976_Child
Dark Munster Posted 2 September, 2011 Posted 2 September, 2011 I have it on good authority that Forecast is posting on this very thread, under a pseudonym of course. I can't reveal who it is.
