itchen_dan Posted 11 August, 2011 Posted 11 August, 2011 They really don't know what they've let themselves in for...
Cascadia Saint Posted 11 August, 2011 Posted 11 August, 2011 Quick. Change the locks. Turn out the lights. Everybody QUIET!
Colinjb Posted 11 August, 2011 Posted 11 August, 2011 Poor Thurrock You took the words right out of my mouth!!
jayrivers Posted 11 August, 2011 Posted 11 August, 2011 I do feel a bit sorry for Forecast. Didn't he only end up here off the back of Lowe trying to settle up with Spurs?
Colinjb Posted 11 August, 2011 Posted 11 August, 2011 What non league level is Thurrock? Last year they finished 20th in the Conference South. Had Rushden and Diamonds not have folded, they would have been relegated to Isthmian/Southern League level.
Huntingdon Posted 11 August, 2011 Posted 11 August, 2011 This shows how far away from the 1st team Forecast is Saints would want him playing at a higher standard than Conference South if they had hopes for him
sussexsaint Posted 11 August, 2011 Posted 11 August, 2011 I do feel a bit sorry for Forecast. Don't , he's a cock
Saint Stimp Posted 11 August, 2011 Posted 11 August, 2011 Now are we going to sign a proper 3rd choice keeper or is there someone in the youth set-up who can do the job?
skintsaint Posted 11 August, 2011 Posted 11 August, 2011 Now are we going to sign a proper 3rd choice keeper or is there someone in the youth set-up who can do the job? its only a month and if we hit injuries im sure we could call him back.
alpine_saint Posted 11 August, 2011 Posted 11 August, 2011 Quick. Change the locks. Turn out the lights. Everybody QUIET! hehehehehe
Colinjb Posted 11 August, 2011 Posted 11 August, 2011 There is no way he's good enough for conference south. He's regularly been embarassed playing Eastleigh and looks miles off their level. I'd put him a long way below that league. I don't think he's even semi-pro standard. The question therefore begs, how did he make into the Spurs youth set up in the first place? How drunk was their Scout?
Pancake Posted 11 August, 2011 Posted 11 August, 2011 Where the hell is Thurrock? Essex, its the bit at the other end of the Dartford Tunnel. Lakeside. Circus Tavern. Arena Essex.
Sour Mash Posted 11 August, 2011 Posted 11 August, 2011 Now are we going to sign a proper 3rd choice keeper or is there someone in the youth set-up who can do the job? A proper 3rd choice keeper? Forecast was/is no-where near as bad as many on here make out - he's probably on a lot more money than most 3rd choice keepers should be on, but that's hardly his fault. The fascination by some on here about the bloke is borderline weird.

Mr saint Posted 11 August, 2011 Posted 11 August, 2011 In terms of his rare on field performances, what has Forecast done so badly that everybody hates?-wasn't he an England U21 international at one point (I may have dreamt that actually?), so he most have some talent? The circumstances in which he arrived here are hardly his fault. OK, he's 3rd choice keeper and no many people have actually seen him play, but surely thats the same with all 3rd choice keepers isn't it? People didn't seem to hate Michael Poke (for example) as much, did they?

People didn't seem to hate Michael Poke (for example) as much, did they? It's probably his legacy as one of the final remnants of the Rupert Lowe era that work against him. Also he genuinely is sh*te. - Maybe he just has not progressed at all since he hit those dizzying heights.
PokingFun Posted 11 August, 2011 Posted 11 August, 2011 He earns over 200k a year for tricking people into believing he's a footballer. That's before being an arrogant ***** and starting on saints fans while out. Don't feel sorry for him. I really don't understand your feelings about this guy. Is it his fault that he got offered a stupidly long and lucrative contract and is sitting out his time with no chance of playing or is it the fault of the idiots we had in charge at the time offering it? If I was him I would rather secure mine and my family's financial future and stay put than take a huge pay cut just for a game of football (which is what he would be doing elsewhere). Some of you really should reverse the situation and think about it more logically. Whether he is crap or not is immaterial. The guy is simply seeing out his contract and there is no evidence to suggest he is a trouble maker or doesn't train well enough. I don't see a problem with that.
landford.saint Posted 11 August, 2011 Posted 11 August, 2011 Reason he is hated so much is he is absolutely sh!te. I have had the misfortune of seeing him play on more than one occasion, and he is worse than terrible. He is so bad there aren't words to describe it.

I think for most people it has something to do with the fact he lamped some girl in a bar in town for no other reason that some lads were heckling him (and rightly so). Arrogant Pr**k!
sussexsaint Posted 11 August, 2011 Posted 11 August, 2011 Plus there are innumerable stories about him being offensive to fans, including swearing at some 9 year olds at the recent Eastleigh friendly. Hardly endeers himself Get him off the bus
Colinjb Posted 11 August, 2011 Posted 11 August, 2011 His contract still lasts for another two years, god how do we get rid of this parasite.
jayrivers Posted 11 August, 2011 Posted 11 August, 2011 His contract still lasts for another two years, god how do we get rid of this parasite. wouldn't it just be easier to pay him off? We have to pay him if he stays
PokingFun Posted 11 August, 2011 Posted 11 August, 2011 Plus there are innumerable stories about him being offensive to fans, including swearing at some 9 year olds at the recent Eastleigh friendly. Hardly endeers himself Get him off the bus That would surely be grounds to dismiss him, along with the other incident mentioned above wouldn't it? Surely the club would have acted if these incidents happened and they were desperate to get shot of him.
Sour Mash Posted 11 August, 2011 Posted 11 August, 2011 Reason he is hated so much is he is absolutely sh!te. I have had the misfortune of seeing him play on more than one occasion, and he is worse than terrible. He is so bad there aren't words to describe it. I've seen him play and he didn't look that bad - what have you been expecting to see from a 3rd choice keeper for a third division side for the last couple of years? Also all the stories about him "hitting a girl because some lads heckled him" - yeah I'm sure that's true, bet he's been arrested for it as well? Whereas Barnard is still lauded as a hero by many on here? I couldn't care less about Forecast, he might be a bit of a knob, probably gets paid a bit more than he should and obviously isn't exactly the best keeper in the world, but why do we have to have a thread about him each week on here?
Colinjb Posted 11 August, 2011 Posted 11 August, 2011 wouldn't it just be easier to pay him off? We have to pay him if he stays The attitude seems to be to at least try to get rid of him to another club, find another taker.... but his lack of ability and high wages seem to make that almost impossible.
Nexstar Posted 11 August, 2011 Posted 11 August, 2011 I wonder if he can match his record at Eastbourne Borough - 7 games, 21 conceded.
fish fingers Posted 11 August, 2011 Posted 11 August, 2011 What happened to our Slovenian/Slovakian goalkeepers?
speed demon Posted 11 August, 2011 Posted 11 August, 2011 Don't know much about him other than he appears to be a spoon but seriously is he is really this crap? He can't honestly be that bad I just assume that people are over reacting or exagerating how bad he is. I don't know how anybody could be employed by Spurs in the first place if he is this bad.
Gambol2K9 Posted 11 August, 2011 Posted 11 August, 2011 People dont hate him cos he's ****e, they hate him cos he's a complete cock. I've witnessed first hand his attitude towards fans, believe me he's a parasite. Dont you think its odd he's been loaned out for a month to a non league side? Its not like Thurrock would have come to a Championship club and requested a keeper, smacks of a punishment to me.
Wade Garrett Posted 11 August, 2011 Posted 11 August, 2011 Grimsby and Eastbourne chucked him back because he's crap. There are better keepers in the Southampton Sunday League.
Stu Man Do Posted 11 August, 2011 Posted 11 August, 2011 I wonder if he's going for the record number of clubs who consider him their worst ever player having been voted as such by Grimsby and Lewes last season?!
Saints67 Posted 11 August, 2011 Posted 11 August, 2011 Good luck Tommy I hope you do brilliantly for Thurrock and they extend the loan and then buy you. We'll miss you. It'll be tough for us but we'll get over it. Eventually.
Crazy Diamond Posted 11 August, 2011 Posted 11 August, 2011 Odds on Thurrock keeping a clean sheet this weekend anyone?
Prince Jazzbo Posted 11 August, 2011 Posted 11 August, 2011 I'd rather have Fatty Foukes in goal than him, and he died in 1916! Seriously though. The son of a family friend (who knows nothing about football or saints) was out in town at the Club next to Town Quay. He said that there was a bloke who was behaving obnoxiously, insulting bar staff, trying to help himself to drinks behind the bar, arguing with people left right and centre, and even saying things like 'Dont you know who I am, I play for saints' etc. It was only when the lad I know, asked someone who he was, they said it was Tommy Forecast. At that time it meant nothing to him, and he just happen to mention it to me a few months ago.
Saint Fan CaM Posted 11 August, 2011 Posted 11 August, 2011 Very pleased he's not part of the squad...what a prize plonker and rubbish keeper he really is. Good luck Thurrock - you will need it.

Yeah, probably better to assume everyone is lying than listen to people who've seen him play. I mean, since when have any of Tottenham's youth players failed to make the grade? Never.
SaintRichmond Posted 11 August, 2011 Posted 11 August, 2011 Good luck to them! He's in the 2.45 apparently, the going is good though .... very good
Marino Posted 11 August, 2011 Posted 11 August, 2011 Odds on Thurrock keeping a clean sheet this weekend anyone? They probably will but no thanks to Forecast. Whats the betting he will only make their bench....
SuperMikey Posted 11 August, 2011 Posted 11 August, 2011 He is shocking, and a c*nt to top it. Get rid ffs.
spyinthesky Posted 11 August, 2011 Posted 11 August, 2011 If you want to support our Tommy!!!, Thurrock are due to play at Salisbury this Saturday
