They dont want to be anything other than the big man. That is coming from my own first hand experience and the tales of a mate of mine who is a youth worker in Walworth. I grew up firstly in weston and then had to move in with my nan in millbrook... it was not till I was 12 till I lived in a place (with my mum) that was ours (via the council)...until then, at times we lived in a room the size of a double room...in the old womans refuge in portswood....twice I never had an xmas as there was no money....just made cards for each other...plenty of times we never had hot water, no clothes (from charity shops)...lived in the worst parts of millbrook when I did live there, once my neighbour was an escort girl ffs.. remember a week where I could not go to school as my mum could not afford the bus fare for me....never had designer trainers...no walkman (like a smart phone these days) no nothing....if anyone wanted drugs, it was ok, TWO flats in my block were dealers...one of them was a member of the NF etc etc tell you what, never displayed the behaviour these looter scum have shown....and recently sold my other flat and now only own 1... why..? because I will NEVER go back to that life like that and in todays world, hardly imagine these tossers have a life like that... but if they are black hey........ The only one thing that lowers the amount of opportunities available is parenting. If the parents don't bring them up properly before they're too old to know right from wrong then they won't have as many opportunities. i agree i came from a poor back ground and from a one parent family but all my family did well and 2 of my brothers went to university ll because we realised that education is away out of poverty and our mum encouraged us and taught us to respect people. Go to South Bank University, near Elephant and Castle and tell me people from a VERY wide variety of backgrounds don't get the opportunity to go to University in this day and age. People must be made responsible for their own actions and their own decisions. I didn't say it's impossible. But to say everyone has the same chance is complete nonsense. Fair play for achieving what you have. But someone somewhere the whore is not next door it's their mum and they are not encouraged to go to school. I think it's as much if not more about the attitude of the parents and home environment as it is wealth. This is why the police are doing exactly the right thing by stopping and searching black youths 7 times more than whites. When you've got the government statistic that shows blacks are 15 times more likely to commit a robbery then clearly they must be stopped and searched more.
