We have suddenly decided to make an excursion to UK next week, so I am planning taking my two eldest to the Millwall game.

Should I expect problems with getting tickets only 48-72 hours before kick off, if I go to the ticket office direct ?

Well, my missus is threatening to wear her Maria von Trapp dress...

I hope not; tell her to pull herself together...

Might be a daft question but are you on the database? THis kind of game usually seems to be database only sales, and equally if you are I can't see why they wouldn't reserve some for you.

Hmmm, I am not sure you would say that if you saw it; does some remarkable things to her DD-sized bosom....

Should be fine to book in advance and arrange collection at the ticket office. Doubt it will be a sell out either.

Good to see you coming over!

Really sorry to hear that Alps, it happened to me when I lived abroad all but a couple of years ago, I had to move back for that reason.

I hope all works out well for you.

To be fair, I think calling obesity a fairly serious illness is stretching it...

I agree, as in being an arrogant c*nt isnt an illness either, so you dont need to visit your GP. However being obese isnt what I am talking about, Jonny boy.

But I am not going to satisfy the voyeur in you and reveal what the problem is.

At least let us speculate.

Com'on Alps, you know what they say. If you can't laugh at yourself, at least let me do it for you....

He has had a serious sense of humour loss which when a Saints supporter is life threatening he is coming back over to visit the hallowed area of St Mary's and then inspect Krap Nottarf which will immediately reinstall all his laughter genes when he see's the state of there lovely place of employement.

Always had a soft spot for your posts alps, sure you're a depressing sod but you've somehow earned yourself a cult following by doing just that. All the best wishes for a speedy recovery to a "true Saints fan". (After following Southampton for any length of time it's surprising we don't all feel the way you do. ;) )

I just had a friend (and fellow Saints fan) stop by for a coffee on his way back to Blighty after a holiday in Croatia.

Says he fancies going to this game too, but doesnt know if he is free until he gets back to the UK on Sunday, and could i wait until mid-week before buying tickets.

I dont want to mis out on a chance to see Saints, does any one know the current sales level for this game, and if they are expecting a sell-out ?

Would appreciate the info.

They could announce they're going to resurrect ML on the pitch at HT and it still wouldn't sell out. Will be 24k there, IMO.

Sounds a bit low, considering how many Millwall will bring.

Leeds had 3,200 down and we only managed to muster 25k for the opening game of the season. Imagine 'wall will bring 2,500 or so.

Oh, didnt know Leeds brought so many. Fair enough.

Not the really the time to bring it up, feel for you and all but a bit of a cry out for attention

Seriously Alps, hope whatever is wrong is treatable and you are back 100% fit. Will be nice to know you are somewhere in the crowd come the Millwall game. Take no notice of any cynical stupid remarks on here.
