Tomorrow (10th August) marks the 1st anniversary of the untimely death of Markus Liebherr.

I was on holiday in Wales at the time and still clearly remember how stunned I was on hearing the news.

RIP Markus. You'll be in my thoughts tomorrow. :(

It doesn't feel like a year, its gone so fast. We've come a long way thanks to him and his business partner, and I'll be eternally grateful for him. Thankyou Markus and Nicola, RIP Mr Liebherr.

I was at the festival in Edinburgh and just thought what else could possibly go wrong for us. Luckily Markus had a legacy which is coming to fruition. He will be remembered as the man saved us from the wolves and put us back on the right track. RIP

Sorry if it's already been mentioned elsewhere but did our fantastic flag make an appearance against Leeds? Or do you think it will only be on display when the attendance will be low enough to warrant it being draped over empty seating.

I realise that the flag has it's own thread but could someone summorise what are the plans of it appearance? I would love to think it would follow our great club all over the country and ultimately all over Europe so everyone can see what this one man means to us all.

If he were still with us I don't think NC would have had to impose some of the unpopular charges that fans have had to endure over the last year as now I guess he has to be seen to be running SFC as a business and not a play thing as he now has to answer to the 'family'. If this is what it takes to keep the family on board then better that than have another RL or similar in charge or be sold off to a foreign 'chancer'. You only have to look down the road to see the error of that.

I was fortunate enough to meet him in Switzerland last year, a really nice man who didn't realise the pleasure his actions had given to so many Saints fans. Thanks Markus RIP

I think we'll all remember where we were when we heard.

His work goes on, playing the game the right way and managing the business sensibly.

He would have been chuffed to see what we did to Leeds - and I'm sure he and Nicola would have chuckled at the deal that Arsenal were forced into.

Always remembered.

I was in the Saints shop at the time and my friend was on a work placement at Sky Sports, he told me it was about to break on SSN so I told the staff in the Saints shop who didn't even know. I went to the memorial service too, it was a great tribute.

RIP Markus.

RIP Markus, a true Saint and an absolute gent. If there is "the other side" hopefully you are watching with a smile on your face at what you started and what (I hope) others are going to finish. Much respect.

A year, already?!

RIP Big Man, hope you enjoyed the promotion, something tells me the players have got something special lined up for you this season too

I was at work when I heard the news and as most have said I was also stunned. I just wish you could have been alive in May to see the wonderful scenes at the promotion party (you truly deserved to be). You may then have been able to fully understand what you had done for this club of ours.

R I P Marcus and a huge THANK YOU for saving Saints.

Thoughts again with his family and friends - I'm hopeful that it helps knowing that his actions made so many people's lives better and their gratitude is ongoing.

RIP St Markus..and thanks so much!
