Block 5 Posted 28 February, 2010 Posted 28 February, 2010 What's the song called? "Candle in the Wind".
Stanley Saint Posted 28 February, 2010 Posted 28 February, 2010 McCarthy - I am a Wallet + Banking, Violence and the Inner Life Today The Wedding Present - George Best+ McCarthy were a fantastic band. I still think that 'an mp speaks' is one of my favourite album starters of all time.
Block 5 Posted 28 February, 2010 Posted 28 February, 2010 The Detroit Experiment - 'The Detroit Experiment'.
SuperMikey Posted 28 February, 2010 Posted 28 February, 2010 Faithless - Sunday 8PM Just self-confirmed for Glastonbury as well, going to be AMAZING.
Block 5 Posted 28 February, 2010 Posted 28 February, 2010 Red Octopus Penis Extension I am not familiar with Mr Extension's œuvre. What do you recommend as a gateway to his work?
IamLeGod Posted 28 February, 2010 Posted 28 February, 2010 Faithless - Sunday 8PM Just self-confirmed for Glastonbury as well, going to be AMAZING. Where have you discovered this? It would make me pretty happy, caught them at The Warehouse Project in Manchester last year was....well as you say amazing! Also, been listening to Bombay Bicycle Club's latest album (I Had the Blues but I Shook them Loose) a lot recently, unspectacular but very pleasant and certainly very enjoyable for a bit of easy listening
Rory Posted 28 February, 2010 Posted 28 February, 2010 Bombay Bicycle Club are one of the worst bands I've seen in ages. They are up there with Mumford & Sons in terms of overrated woe. Listening to: Blacksmoke -- F*ck the f*cking f*ckers.
Deppo Posted 1 March, 2010 Posted 1 March, 2010 Funny you should say that Blockhead, I was in attendance at Fantazia back in 1993, and that is spooky. http://www.niceboots.com/~1992/MP3/DJsets/Mickey_Finn@Fantazia_1993.mp3 Pill'ead.

Dog Posted 1 March, 2010 Posted 1 March, 2010 Pill'ead. Nah, I was selling Vicks & poppers around the back.
Deppo Posted 1 March, 2010 Posted 1 March, 2010 Great album, Copey. If only Bernard Butler had stayed with them.
Julian H. Cope Posted 1 March, 2010 Author Posted 1 March, 2010 Great album, Copey. If only Bernard Butler had stayed with them. If The Tears were anything to go by (saw them at The Astoria headlining NME Shockwaves night), then he got out when the going was good. I saw Suede many times with Butler, after he left it was never the same. Glasto '93 was a good'un. 'Blackashacieedsensi?'.
Block 5 Posted 1 March, 2010 Posted 1 March, 2010 love songs n stuff If The Tears were anything to go by (saw them at The Astoria headlining NME Shockwaves night), then he got out when the going was good. The last of the great festivals. Anarchy. The Levellers (clearly a bunch of lightweights): "We played at Treworgey. That was a mad one ... I was scared there, genuinely scared. That was too much, it was crazy - I like crazy - but people died there ... I'm glad I was there, but it doesn't go down as one of my greatest festivals." http://www.ukrockfestivals.com/treworgey-tree-fayre-1989.html I have some stories......

Never 'did' Treworgey, although the ex's Mum was a regular. Nice to read the Conservative MP's balanced views on the subject. Linton Kwesi Johnson - LKJ In Dub.

St Landrew Posted 6 March, 2010 Posted 6 March, 2010 (edited) The Narrow Way - Pink Floyd Beyond superb. Magical sounds. Proving that they were at their very, very best at this time. Way before the dirge that their music became. EDIT: Forgot, it's Dave Gilmour. Edited 6 March, 2010 by St Landrew
