Teenage Fanclub - Bandwagonesque

Everything is right with the world when Teenage Fanclub is mentioned....

I'm off to listen to Wheat; Hope and Adams.

The Minimal Wave Tapes... classic past future

Tempted to get this......

Stones Throw do uncover some gems from the past and re-issue them.

Should I invest in the CD or just MP3?

In Rainbows - this is that strange and wonderful musical beast, the album that gets better with each listen. For a while people who’s opinion I rate have been whispering that this is Radiohead’s best album, and I’m starting to concur.

Whilst I think it loses something in translation, technically I think it's "decode" (assuming your files are compressed in some way).

Depends if you're going to 'play it out', I suppose. But the first few listens definitely reveal a few lost classics.

In Rainbows 2 is worth a listen too, its about 30 minutes worth of stuff that didn’t make it onto the first album, and whilst some of the tracks sound a bit b-sidey, it has some absolute corkers - 4 Minute Warning being one of their best ever tracks IMO.

The second of those is the dog's danglies...

But Greatest Bumps contains "Send Them", "Rhyme Like A Nut" and "Entropy"... OK, so Spectrum has "I Changed My Mind", "Divine Intervention" and "Looking Over A City"... damn, its close.

Frankie Goes to Hollywood - 'Welcome to the Pleasure Dome'.

Trevor Horn is a genius as the title track from this otherwise unremarkable album proves.

On the way home from the Stockport game lad in front of me on the bus ( 20 ish ) was listening to Cliff Richard on his Ipod ( I kid you not ! ) bloody weird eh ?.

High calibre hip hop. I'd forgotten how good.

Blakroc - Blakroc

Not sure about this. I love the Black Keys and this collaboration with some rap people is good in places but doesn't work in other places. For me, the rap overtakes the rocky blues, and I like the rocky blues.

Fyfe Dangerfield - Fly Yellow Moon

A couple of songs that are below average but some brilliant and beautiful songs. Slow ballards, some sounding like the Guillemots.
