I stood out like a sore thumb lolage! When I went for a pish I thought the people in the bogs were going to kill me!! Good times How the hell did you manage that? IIRC the crowd them I saw them was a complete mix of all sorts of rock trash. Unless you went dressed as Easy E?

Deppo Posted 13 November, 2009 Posted 13 November, 2009 Are they any good? Seeing them on the NME tour. It's quite good. I'm only on the first listen so it normally takes a couple more for me to get into something. Who else is on this tour?
manji Posted 13 November, 2009 Posted 13 November, 2009 Are they any good? Seeing them on the NME tour. Very weak album.

Pancake Posted 17 November, 2009 Posted 17 November, 2009 I don't have Spotify at work. What is it? Someone created a playlist with as many of the NME top albums as they could. A nice way to introduce people to some of the ones they havent heard before (and to reacquaint themselves too, as I am now with XTRMNTR)
Pancake Posted 17 November, 2009 Posted 17 November, 2009 Just to add my 2p to the NME top 10: 1. The Strokes - Is This It (9/10) 2. The Libertines - Up The Bracket (6/10) 3. Primal Scream - XTRMNTR (7/10) 4. Arctic Monkeys - Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not (4/10) 5. Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Fever To Tell (7/10) 6. Radiohead - In Rainbows (7/10)
Pancake Posted 17 November, 2009 Posted 17 November, 2009 (RE: Them Crooked Vultures) Meh, as I posted last week there is nothing there that I didn't get from the Foos debut back in the nineties or the latest couple of QoTSA albums. OK, Im goig to revise this opinion as I think I must have been drunk when I listened to a leak last week. Now playing a proper copy and its damn catchy and extremely funky too. Basically ignore what I said before.
Block 5 Posted 17 November, 2009 Posted 17 November, 2009 Julian Cope - "Love, Peace & F*ck". I am loving this, a bit of a departure from what I'm used to, but I could get into more of this kind of madness.
Lets B Avenue Posted 17 November, 2009 Posted 17 November, 2009 Xymox - Clan of Xymox. Or was it the other way round?
saint_bert Posted 17 November, 2009 Posted 17 November, 2009 Them Crooked Vultures album. Was that a tuba at the end of the second track?!?!?!
Deppo Posted 18 November, 2009 Posted 18 November, 2009 Them Crooked Vultures album. Was that a tuba at the end of the second track?!?!?! No. I was just pleased to see you.
