Interpol are awesome. I love "Not Even Jail" off "Antics" - turn it up really loud and the intro is freaking sweet. The whole of the first album is first class as well. Apparently the lead singer is about to "drop" his debut solo record, you heard it here first indie kids.

The Stone Roses - The Second Coming

What a brilliant album.

Didn't think much of it at the time, but as with others and has been mentioned, I was expecting a similar album to the first. Now I am that bit older I reckon I listen to it at least as much as the first one. Great album, just different to TSR. Stand out track for me (at the moment) is How Do You Sleep? Also, check out the video to 10 Storey Love Song. I think you can see what sort of influences the band were under at the time...

Interpol - Our Love To Admire

Never listened to them before, but I like this.

Their last two have albums IMO have been a bit disappointing but then again, TOTBL was immensely good. There do have one or two great tracks on each though.

There is a great remix of Anger on the Fungkungfusion compilation by Ninjatune that I am playing now.

Enter Shikari - Common Dreads

Good follow up to 'Take To The Skies', the St-Albans band's first album. 'Juggernauts' is an absolute beast of a song, guarantee it will stick in your head like a b!tch. Rest of the album is a little ho-hum, few songs which could be deemed as filler, but still listenable.

Get: 'Juggernauts', 'The Jester', 'Solidarity'.

I'm unsure whether this or Merriweather Post Pavilion is my favourite album of the year.

A radio dramatisation of The Woman In White by Wilkie Collins. Excellent.

Yesterday evening I was watching [and listening] to Yusuf Islam; that's Cat Stevens to oldies. Having taken up the guitar and writing songs again, the bloke hasn't lost it. It was a delight to watch him play some of his older stuff too.

This sort of thing:

Listening to a really annoying bird sat in a tree just outside my office window. Sounds like a nightmare hybrid of bird and cicada, ****ing constant, cheep cheep cheep - arrrggghhh been at it all morning with no let up. Can't actually see where it is either, so can't try and scare it away.

Dropkick Murphys: Warrior's Code

Shame the sound quality was so crap when they played the So'ton Guildhall, but you've got to expect that there....My little nipper has been playing The Auld Triangle all day.

Went a bit retro at work, was listening to Wire; 154 today.
