TheCholulaKid Posted 29 March, 2009 Posted 29 March, 2009 White Denim (again) - even better on a sunny day Sparklehorse - Vivadixiesubmarinetransmissionplot (not really sunny day but heyho)
SuperMikey Posted 30 March, 2009 Posted 30 March, 2009 Filthy Dukes - Nonsense In The Dark Good album I think. Hardly Grammy stuff, but still very danceable, which I think is what they were going for, so that's okay. I should imagine quite a few tracks will find themselves in the clubs soon enough (if you've been out anywhere recently you will have heard 'Tupac Robot Club Rock'). I particularly like the album title track, 'Nonsense In The Dark' with Orlando from The Maccabees (my favourite band) guesting on vocals. Very good.

St Landrew Posted 7 April, 2009 Posted 7 April, 2009 Drove upto Oxford today, and all the time between chatting to my passenger, I was humming No Language In Our Lungs - XTC. It's possibly one of the few of their tracks I've never really liked that much, but as soon as I got home I put on Black Sea, and it's great. I'll never skip that track again. Amazing..! It's only taken me 25+ years to like it. Also gave me an opportunity to turn the wick up on Smokeless Zone. Brilliant boppy track.
