Saint-Armstrong Posted 8 August, 2011 Posted 8 August, 2011 Nigel Adkins on talkSPORT with Keys and Gray later on. No time specified but they have said he ill be on the show at some point, I would imagine in the next hour or so. "Coming up later in the show Gary Birtles, Mervyn Davies, Uwe Rosler and Nigel Adkins."
supersonic Posted 8 August, 2011 Posted 8 August, 2011 Keys and Gray probably think Cortese is a girl so will moan to Adkins about females running football clubs
Dig Dig Posted 8 August, 2011 Posted 8 August, 2011 I'm sure he'll love chatting to those two losers.

"Coming up later in the show Gary Birtles, Mervyn Davies, Uwe Rosler and Nigel Adkins." I was at the Brentford match on Saturday with my son and grandson. The Bees love our Uwe already. I have to say, they played some very attractive football and made Yeovil look like amateurs! My son says Rosler's made a huge difference to them already.
sussexsaint Posted 8 August, 2011 Posted 8 August, 2011 Bet all they discuss is the F*****g AOC situation, the sooner thats sorted the better.

I have to say, they played some very attractive football and made Yeovil look like amateurs! My son says Rosler's made a huge difference to them already. Tbf, Yeovil did lose their entire squad and had to build a new one out of freebies and loans. No wonder they looked like amateurs! My Yeovil supporting mate (who was at SMS on Saturday with me) was surprised it was only 1-0!

SuperMikey Posted 8 August, 2011 Posted 8 August, 2011 No wonder he was as it was actually 2 - 0! Wotton was his usual 'friendly' self I should be ashamed of myself for not knowing that score
Nexstar Posted 8 August, 2011 Posted 8 August, 2011 Nigel Adkins is "Busy" and won't be talking to TalkSport today.
influx Posted 8 August, 2011 Posted 8 August, 2011 Richard Keys insuating that we might be carrying on our ant-press mantra from last season. Prat!
Saint Garrett Posted 8 August, 2011 Posted 8 August, 2011 Too busy in Winchester tieing up the deals of Owen and Hargreaves.
scotty Posted 8 August, 2011 Posted 8 August, 2011 Richard Keys insuating that we might be carrying on our ant-press mantra from last season. Prat! Richard keys really is a prize prat, even before andygraygate. Smug annoying t*sser.
Huntingdon Posted 8 August, 2011 Posted 8 August, 2011 That suggests that Cortese wants Adkins to avoid questions on Chamberlain Perhaps I'm reading too much into that, but I think we could see a big signing this week, but also 1 big departure We all know what Cortese is like, he'd rather keep things private until the paperwork is signed
Wade Garrett Posted 8 August, 2011 Posted 8 August, 2011 That suggests that Cortese wants Adkins to avoid questions on Chamberlain That was my first reaction. I reckon he'll be gone soon, but Cortese wants new signings tied up beforehand.
Colinjb Posted 8 August, 2011 Posted 8 August, 2011 Nigel is 'busy.' So maybe something other then training to keep him occupied.
bowers-sfc Posted 8 August, 2011 Posted 8 August, 2011 Just got Ipswitch tickets, Nicolas Or adkins car parked at the front, went into club shop, and was told that a signing is being finalised. no mention of who though
Matthew Le God Posted 8 August, 2011 Posted 8 August, 2011 Just got Ipswitch tickets, Nicolas Or adkins car parked at the front, went into club shop, and was told that a signing is being finalised. no mention of who though Why would someone that works on the till in the club shop be kept informed of player transfers?
Dibden Purlieu Saint Posted 8 August, 2011 Posted 8 August, 2011 Why would someone that works on the till in the club shop be kept informed of player transfers? Because he needs to do them a shirt with a name on the back? HTH
Tokyo-Saint Posted 8 August, 2011 Posted 8 August, 2011 Why would someone that works on the till in the club shop be kept informed of player transfers? Need to know how to spell the name on the back of the shirt and which number he will be Sorry MLG but couldn't resist it as you would argue for the sake of it
Matthew Le God Posted 8 August, 2011 Posted 8 August, 2011 Because he needs to do them a shirt with a name on the back? HTH And why does that require prior knowledge of his signing?
Tokyo-Saint Posted 8 August, 2011 Posted 8 August, 2011 And why does that require prior knowledge of his signing? Ah, you did not say prior knowledge, you said be kept informed. Beaten with your own stick there...
Sheaf Saint Posted 8 August, 2011 Posted 8 August, 2011 And why does that require prior knowledge of his signing? Dunno, maybe so they can announce the signing to the press with a picture of him with his new shirt? Just a thought.
Ivan Katalinic's 'tache Posted 8 August, 2011 Posted 8 August, 2011 Dunno, maybe so they can announce the signing to the press with a picture of him with his new shirt? Just a thought. Yes, someone's got to put the name on the shirt! I'm sure Cortese doesn't sit there scribbling it on in biro just before the photoshoot...
Ivan Katalinic's 'tache Posted 8 August, 2011 Posted 8 August, 2011 I reckon it'll be Gorkss with Puncheon going the other way. When doing my QPR correspondent bit the other day, someone on the Rangers forum was guessing it'd go through today.
The9 Posted 8 August, 2011 Posted 8 August, 2011 Ah, you did not say prior knowledge, you said be kept informed. Beaten with your own stick there... Erm, as the transfer hasn't happened and the person in the club shop is already aware (allegedly), that would be "prior knowledge" whether MLG actually specified it or not.
Matthew Le God Posted 8 August, 2011 Posted 8 August, 2011 Ah, you did not say prior knowledge, you said be kept informed. Beaten with your own stick there... I'll beat you back with that stick, as bowers-sfc said that the deal was being finalised and not completed, so that is prior knowledge and being kept informed. went into club shop, and was told that a signing is being finalised.
ericofarabia Posted 8 August, 2011 Posted 8 August, 2011 Too busy in Winchester tieing up the deals of Owen and Hargreaves. On The BBC Live Updates site on Saturday after our game there was a quote from Michael Owen's twitter saying something like how much he loves watching The Championship Games and how pleased that his tips for the top had started so well ..... he's as good as ours already!! AND ... he wasn't played in The Charity Shield either.
Ivan Katalinic's 'tache Posted 8 August, 2011 Posted 8 August, 2011 99p for Maynard? Get the deal done!
Ivan Katalinic's 'tache Posted 8 August, 2011 Posted 8 August, 2011 Just got Ipswitch tickets, Nicolas Or adkins car parked at the front, went into club shop, and was told that a signing is being finalised. no mention of who though Now Chambo's all but gone - maybe it was his departure being finalised? Such is the professionalism at Saints nowadays, though, I wouldn't be surprised to see some of that cash go straight back out and a signing be announced tonight!!
sussexsaint Posted 8 August, 2011 Posted 8 August, 2011 99p for Maynard? Get the deal done! Yep , bags of quality as well. Leaves 11.99999mil to get a centre back
