If you did 3-0 I hope you didn't top yourself when the ref gave that pen. I think I'd have been close to doing so!

Nope but I did have £50 on Leicester and Brighton along with David Connelly wincast. £916!

]My mates were talking to a Saints fan in a pub in Windsor today (shortly before I got there), and they said he had a 3-1 win bet.

Come to think of it, Hatch, it wasn't you, was it? (Jammy bastard...)

Hi Rut, I hope you are well. Had a 3-1 win at the new stadium bookies at 12-1. Not impressed with them at all, particularly the odds but also the 20 minute wait to pick up the winnings after the final whistle. I'm definitely not using the stadium bookies again having used Ladbrokes for the past few seasons :-(

A mate of mine had 3-1, AND 3-1 with Hammond as first scorer. Got 18/1 and about 175/1 respectively for his quids.

The wife had Gradel as her captain on the FF so she was happy too. And I had Fonte in mine so hugely po'ed by it.

This was my fear about the new bookies. I first heard it was going to be BetFred, which would have been decent enough. Finding out it was some nomark outfit based in pompey set alarm bells ringing; you can't bet online with them, only in the shop or over the phone. The queues to pick up cash are predictable and will likely put me and many others from betting with them, particularly if the odds are as bad you suggest. Much easier to just bet online or pop into a bookies in town.

The trouble is, is that once inside the stadium you are a captive audience. As you, so rightly, say it's going to be far better to put your bets on online or shop locally before going in through the turnstiles in future. I hope people vote with their feet on this one (especially as, from another thread on here, they are clearly active skates)

Block next to me felt he had to show me his betting slip at the end, he had 3-1 but was still gutted for not keeping a clean sheet even though he just won £58, so far play to him.

Onine accounts are a danger to my bank account, but much easier.

A mate of mine did too, how coincidental! ;)

He used to post on here but I think life got in the way.

Guys behind us in the Chapel when the ref awarded the penalty were going mad, we thought for a moment they were Leeds fans, then said "please Kelvin don't save this one!,". Then quickly followed up "we have got money on 3-1!!!".

Quite amusing.

Funny enough we were saying the same yesterday! We were in a box and 4 lads had 3-1 with odds of 12-1, wasn't tell we were chatting in the pub yesterday that we found out that all the outside bookies were paying 18-1, also the lady book maker didn't really know what she was doing, had to remind her I wanted change, one lad had £40 for 3-1 @12-1 and we had to do the maths for her, which wasnt that easy after drinking all day :-)

Yep I put £5 on 3 - 1 @ 16 -1, daughter also done the same with £3 @18 - 1 in Ladbrokes.

I left on 90 mins at 3 - 0 I didnt know until I heard someone saying when up the giddy bridge it was 3 - 1 made the beers flow down a lot better, to much so

the misses came over at 7:20 (by that time I was pretty hammered)for an indian... she had 2 drinks I wanted to go home... she wasnt a happy teddy, I said sorry what

do you expect first game of the season buzzing all day.

Have to take her out for a meal tonight to make it up to her. :-)

Had £15 on 3-0 at 22-1 with Coral.... Was fuming, mainly at how unneccessary it was to give a penatly with the last kick of the game at 3-0 - let alone the fact that it wasn't even a penalty. I soon got over it with a few too many beers though.
