Ivan Katalinic's 'tache Posted 6 August, 2011 Share Posted 6 August, 2011 Wonder if NA is the sort of manager who goes with a keeper and 4 outfield players or 5 outfield players now the number of subs has been reduced this year? As an ex keeper I reckon he'll go for the former but it'll be interesting to see what he does over the course of the season. I remember a few years ago Neil Warnock, at Sheff Utd, never bothered with a keeper because Phil Jagielka was a talented enough keeper to cover. Wonder if there's a hidden keeper amongst our outfield players???

Matthew Le God Posted 6 August, 2011 Share Posted 6 August, 2011 It was only a few years ago that the Football League changed to seven subs. Up until the 2009/10 season is was 5 subs, 7 subs was only used in the Football League for two seasons. I very much doubt Adkins will risk not having a proper keeper on the bench, he didn't do that at S****horpe.
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 6 August, 2011 Share Posted 6 August, 2011 I reckon Jack Cork could play in goal, he can play everywhere else!
revolution saint Posted 6 August, 2011 Share Posted 6 August, 2011 Have to say that I miss the days of outfield players going in goal. Didn't Nial Quinn score a hattrick and save a pen once?
