bowers-sfc Posted 5 August, 2011 Posted 5 August, 2011 Down at the ticket office today and saw the police putting these up. I know leeds are known for trouble, but really? only seen them for pompey before
Saint_clark Posted 5 August, 2011 Posted 5 August, 2011 Last time I saw that was on Half life Very OTT if you ask me. Was justified for the Pompey game (although rather nullified by letting both sets of fans out at the same time). Things like this just get people wound up/excited and increase the risk of things happening IMO.
saint_coxy Posted 5 August, 2011 Posted 5 August, 2011 What a joke. It hasn't kicked off the last few time Leeds have been down here. It is going to encourage trouble by just having them there
Smirking_Saint Posted 5 August, 2011 Posted 5 August, 2011 Where is that anyway ?? Can't make it out, part of me thinks above bar but can't see why ?
bowers-sfc Posted 5 August, 2011 Author Posted 5 August, 2011 Sorry should of explained..... thats just off the internet, didnt take pictures of them in the car park
Smirking_Saint Posted 6 August, 2011 Posted 6 August, 2011 Pictures of where ?? Is that even in southampton ?
SaintNeil90 Posted 6 August, 2011 Posted 6 August, 2011 Pictures of where ?? Is that even in southampton ? No its an example of what they have put up!!!!
Faz Posted 6 August, 2011 Posted 6 August, 2011 put them up where? to protect the ticket office?/ Yep, Leeds fans are really upset about the ticket tax and are joining forces with the 5 people on here who moan incessantly about it.
Dibden Purlieu Saint Posted 6 August, 2011 Posted 6 August, 2011 Yep, Leeds fans are really upset about the ticket tax and are joining forces with the 5 people on here who moan incessantly about it. ****! The main reason I think they are up by the way is cos it is a late kick off and people are bound to be far more boozy
Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 6 August, 2011 Posted 6 August, 2011 Rather OTT, hopefully this doesn't become common occurrence; could be embarrassing against Boro. As others said it will just make them more excited as they will see it as "We must be reet scary lad".
benjii Posted 6 August, 2011 Posted 6 August, 2011 We've seen that the local plod seem to view Saints matches as a nice earner and a chance to get their names in the paper so this sort of ridiculous rubbish comes as little surprise.
lordswoodsaints Posted 6 August, 2011 Posted 6 August, 2011 That should keep all the 'football shirt wearing,I've got a hard singing voice on matchdays, brave behind a barrier' fans and the police busy whilst the real action happens away from the stadium and CCTV.
Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 6 August, 2011 Posted 6 August, 2011 We don't have any previous with Leeds do we? Didn't something take place in our play off year?
benjii Posted 6 August, 2011 Posted 6 August, 2011 That should keep all the 'football shirt wearing,I've got a hard singing voice on matchdays, brave behind a barrier' fans and the police busy whilst the real action happens away from the stadium and CCTV. Good plan. Where can I meet you for tough man-on-man action away from prying eyes?
Fan The Flames Posted 6 August, 2011 Posted 6 August, 2011 Are these up around the Chairmans entrance because of Covergate.
edprice1984 Posted 6 August, 2011 Posted 6 August, 2011 End of the game in Playoff year the Leeds fans got a little upset and started throwing bottles and seats at the Northam. It all started after a tannoy announcement giving the Hull v Cardiff score which coupled with our win meant we moved into the playoffs, but also effectively relegating Leeds. Huge cheer and the northern monkeys though we were taking the p..cue seats and bottles.
lordswoodsaints Posted 6 August, 2011 Posted 6 August, 2011 Good plan. Where can I meet you for tough man-on-man action away from prying eyes? You're quite welcome to join me at home watching the game on sky and sipping a cold magners if you like? And if it's man on man action you're after then we could always have a bit of a wrestle at half time if you fancy it....although you'll have to go easy on me as I've got a dodgy back at the moment.
Rebel Posted 6 August, 2011 Posted 6 August, 2011 Leeds have a problem with everyone and anyone! And with a 5.20 kick-off an awful lot of Leeds fans will be in town all day drinking. The police are expecting trouble I think. A friend who is based in Andover has been called in for football duty today.
Dr Who? Posted 6 August, 2011 Posted 6 August, 2011 Oh it will be fine, yes a few mouthing off, but there will only be a handfull of games that this will go up The thing about this is that I have to walk all the way round the stadium from Northam Kingsland corner to get to my car near northam bridge. I might park over the Itchin bridge in Weston and shoot off to the M27 that way!! Should be a good game with plenty of banter..... Leeds hate everyone!

70's Mike Posted 6 August, 2011 Posted 6 August, 2011 seems like soton ob are continuing with the tactic of letting all out at the same time, cannot think of anywhere else this happens.
Toadhall Saint Posted 6 August, 2011 Posted 6 August, 2011 seems like soton ob are continuing with the tactic of letting all out at the same time' date=' cannot think of anywhere else this happens.[/quote'] Beggars belief.
saint boggy Posted 6 August, 2011 Posted 6 August, 2011 I guarantee it will kick off at 5.20 if this was Facebook, i would 'like' this comment!...
Fan The Flames Posted 6 August, 2011 Posted 6 August, 2011 off topic but that photo looks like somewhere in Brighton on the way down from town to the sea front! Could be a cordon for the Party Political Conferences held in Brighton.
RobM Posted 6 August, 2011 Posted 6 August, 2011 Could be a cordon for the Party Political Conferences held in Brighton. Nah, those are rainbow coloured, not silver metal.
Suhari Posted 6 August, 2011 Posted 6 August, 2011 Quite a few Leeds fans in Winchester. Giving it the Munich song too,
Thedelldays Posted 6 August, 2011 Posted 6 August, 2011 seems like soton ob are continuing with the tactic of letting all out at the same time' date=' cannot think of anywhere else this happens.[/quote'] happens nearly every single game at SMS apart from the odd pompey game.......does it not..?
Colinjb Posted 6 August, 2011 Posted 6 August, 2011 Yep. A few in the eclipse in Winch. Seem sound lads though.

I appreciate your honest response and your invitation. That is a bit soft for me though. But thanks.

70's Mike Posted 6 August, 2011 Posted 6 August, 2011 happens nearly every single game at SMS apart from the odd pompey game.......does it not..? YES but why?
Colinjb Posted 6 August, 2011 Posted 6 August, 2011 Save me a spot by the telly for 5.00! Sorry chap, just left. It seems that Leeds use winch as a stop off en route, there has apparently been fighting at the Wetherspoons in town. A real shame.
