That's fantastic. They took time to allow you to make sure you were happy with your purchases and made the all ones the needed, nothing worse than being served quickly, rushed through little a pig on the way to the guillotine and realising you have forgotten something is there.

I am so glad the check out guy was careful and dilligent in checking the items as he scanned it, making sure there was no error, be careful and get it right first time round is a much more satifcatory customer experience dont you agree?

Polite ripple of applause for Cortese for ecouraging such thoughtful staff.

No, it was hugely annoying on all fronts, from setting my alarm on my phone to go off at 13 minutes to them not managing to have everything in stock they're meant to be selling, to the general lack of people in there actually buying anything, to the overpowering sense of wanting to get out of there as quickly as possible, all the way through the staff's general inattentiveness and unnecessary time-wasting, through the completely out of date "signing a paper receipt" card transaction, right up until the moment where I saw the barrier lift and gleefully escaped without paying a Cortese Stealth Tax again. God forbid we'd wanted a name or number on the shirt.

In fact every aspect of the whole experience makes me less likely to go back there again, and as we can all tell, I'm one of the ones who usually buys this crap.

Nothing wrong with wearing a shirt occasionally on holiday or whilst playing football. Anything else looks stupid, unless you're 8.

I always take one, just for the token "Saints shirt in random location" shot, but I never wear it on holiday other than that. I suppose I might if I was taking in a football match, like I may do in Granada in September.

Are you going to miss any matches whilst you are away?

Just the one, and hopefully I'll be able to watch it on the box. And no, you can't have my voucher - there should be a few hundred freebies floating around anyway. As it happens, I basically got paid to go on this holiday. :)

We all know you will though. You'll be first in the queue for the new training kit, when the socks come into stock, when you want to get a number printed on the back of the shirt you didn't like, think is boring and aren't going to buy.

I got my season ticket thanks hun. Just out of interest, did you pay for your holiday in 2009?
