"Anyone ever take a dump at the Dell" ?

Why not include St Mary's ? You are leaving out a whole new generation here !

Great thread BTW

Hmm - perhaps that's a potential new thread, possibly with a poll to rate your experience.....

My god absolutely not. There is no way I would put my delicate white a rse on one of those p iss drenched seats. Especially when you factor in the lack of locking device on the door, or more worringly no paper & having to resort to using my (glossy) programme to wipe with.

I went for a dump at the Dell on the way back from St Mary's. Do I win a prize? Got caught out walking home after a match and dropped a load in the flower bed in front of the flats.

My brother vomited in the Junior Saints section during Villa at home in 1994- had to walk him around the pitch to the first aid centre and he missed MLTs last minute free kick

I didn't like taking a **** there, let alone lay a pipe. I'll ask my dad though, it's highly likely he has a tale. He once blocked the loos in the San Siro, and he still uses that stadium's name as a euphemism when he needs to unload.

I remember coming back from the Charity Cup match in 1976, for some reason the coach driver would not stop at a service station and my ex wife was dying for a pee. She had to wait until we got back to the Inner Avenue where we got off the coach and as we walked towards Howard Road where we lived she then pee'd down herself, unusual for women its normally men who do that.

Must have been in the cubicle next door I did the self same thing

Just for the sake of completeness. Having heard the crowd I leapt up, hastily zipped up and felt a pain beyond which I have never felt before.

No - still recovering from the trauma last season of seeing one of our lot, wasted and obviously out cold, lying on the floor of the steaming, p i$$ -filled toilets at Notts county.

Isnt that when the villa fans pulled our goal down after final whistle?

I did tell him to give it 5 minutes.

BTW did you take your programme to the bogs hoping to have a casual read through while on the job?

Thread of the week!! Agree with the above; even just having a wee could be a life-threatening experience there! Still loved the old place though!

Many thanks :) Thought it offered something "a little different"

The bogs at the Dell were horrendous. I don't think I saw any new toilet paper in them since the 1980s.

I remember going into the bogs on a saturday afternoon years ago at the Dell where there had been torrential rain all morning and the whole toilets were under about 2 feet of diluted urine with floating turds on top

Spooky. I think that's Portsmouth's new marketing tag line...

"Visit Historic Portsmouth - About 2 feet of diluted urine with floating turds on top"
