Dimond Geezer Posted 3 August, 2011 Share Posted 3 August, 2011 Hopefully someone in admin will come back to me on this (I've already pm'd but had no response). I am changing my email address to an @btinternet.com address, when I visit my settings to do this, I get: Unfortunately we do not accept email addresses from your domain name/email provider - in particular, we block access to known "free" email providers to prevent users registering multiple accounts. You will need to enter another address in order to continue - perhaps from your ISP, workplace or college/university. If you think this is done in error, please click here to contact the administrator. Perhaps someone in a position of power can contact me. miserableoldgit Posted 3 August, 2011 Share Posted 3 August, 2011 TBF I sent a pm 2 or 3 weeks ago re a general query and have had no response, and again earlier this week with a subscription query and have again had no reply. Ta DG I had the same problem with my Account on here using the @btinternet.com address, I changed it to the BT alternative and used @btopenworld.com and it was fine. You should be able to use the @btopenworld.com one too I believe, try that and see if it works.

Verbal Posted 3 August, 2011 Share Posted 3 August, 2011 I recall my main account was rejected - ...@mac.com. I suppose it's done to exclude people without jobs so that the riff-raff are kept out. Not sure that's worked so well.

They are certainly not free.

I sent an e-mail through the "Contact Us" page using the "Send e-mail to Forum Administrator" function and I replied to the e-mail that I received on Monday telling me that my subscription was about to expire. There was nothing on the e-mail saying that you were unable to reply.
Dimond Geezer Posted 3 August, 2011 Author Share Posted 3 August, 2011 Sorted. Time to lock this thread before it degenerates into the usual slanging match between the liberal elite & the far right.

For any subscription queries, please email subscriptions@saintsweb.co.uk, which I monitor on a (fairly) regular basis - especially around this time of year when the majority of subscriptions are up for renewal! stevegrant Posted 3 August, 2011 Share Posted 3 August, 2011 So out of interest, why are .mac accounts blocked? They are certainly not free. There were loads of obvious spammers registering with @mac addresses.
