I think he is trying to distance himself from that pride parade that he "accidentally" got involved, in wearing just saints shorts that were 3 sizes too small (damn club shop strikes again)...

Am I the only one who took a photo of it? Knew I should have copyrighted that photo incase the flag doesn't see the light of day again ;)

Nope, I've got a few on my phone too. PS the club owns that copyright - and according to the legalese on the tickets you've agreed not to take cameras into the ground or use a phone for anything other than calls.

Like it. It looks a bit corny coz dear old Marcus looked a bit corny. One of the reasons I and probably most of us liked the guy - corny, but honest and with a smile on his face!

would be great if we could have the flag out for saturday in front of the camera's. if the club don't fancy letting us have it over the crowd, how about on the pitch before kick off ? get the ball boys to hold on to it & then leg it off as the players finish shaking hands.

Are you one of these that gets completely over the top with homophobic abuse at the sign of a man hug? One of those that feels the need to act a big man?

I think you've hit the nail on the head. The sort of guy who acts the big "I am" to mask his own disappointment and insecurities.

Sorry chap, missed that one. Here's hoping!

thats ok, dont do it again ;)

I also emailed to ask what happened to the smaller flag I donated myself to the Foundation. They replied with that they want the large flag to be seen by as many as possible before they put the smaller flag on the foundation website (which I have seen a picture of signed by all the players). This suggests it will be sooner rather than later it makes an appearance again.

Nice one, hopefully Leeds then for the TV...as another who'll be watching from foreign shores.

If it goes above my head i'll be pulling it down. I dont pay to have a flag go over my head, love liebherr hate mongs.

Aside from wearing socks and sandals what other steps would you recomend to demongolise and become an uber cool man about town?

If it's pure spite we're extolling here, I hope you don't manage to make it to the match then. Bloody hell!

You'll probably have someone smack you one if they see you doing that. You're in the minority mate.

Dropping uber would be a start. Also being a wind up works a treat.

Uber is a term used on "thesaintsforum" and as such one assumed it was a really cool word. I will no longer use this term. Thanks xxx.

As for being on a wind up one would not dream of denegrating the importance of the forum by engaging in wind uppery.

Is white socks ok with sandals, or would you recomend a different colour?

I would have rahter seen us have a face paint mosaic compared to a flag. We could have all had face paint put on for what seat we are in and then stand cheek to cheek to reveal the picture. And then once that is done we could link arms and sway from side to side whilst singing amazing grace in memory of Marcus.

NICE1 m8!!! lets all av a bit of a windup yea?

Aside from the fact that one prominent member arranged the whole damn flag, raised the dosh, did it all, and another helped with the design.

I've got a feeling that, rather than being on a windup, you're just a bit of a homophobe and vile character trying to cover it up by pretending it's all a big joke. You also are self hating I assume...

And fair play to the person that done it, put the effort in etc. I personally think there are better ways to honour the man, and that the flag could of been designed a bit better... You cant please everyone can you? But people on here and that attend football do need to have a little look at thmeselves if they take things so personally over the fact that they like to wave a flag and i choose not to. As for being a vile character thats your opinion, feel free to take that up with me anytime.

People take it personally because a hell of a lot donated and supported the flag, thanks to JustMike's efforts. Tell me, how much have you done towards the 'better' ways to honour the man? My guess would be eff all.

You're right about one thing- you can't please them all. If it's just the low IQ'd homophobes who don't like it then I certainly won't be losing much sleep.

It's 'have' not 'of' i.e instead of "the flag could of been designed a bit better" it should read "the flag could have been designed a bit better". That said you may have made a deliberate mistake because i've noticed this is how they speak on the Jeremy Kyle show and one appreciates that it's cool to speak like one was 'brung' up without an education.

Keep the tips rolling in.

P.S i've deliberately missed out the commas because I don't know where to put them anyway and that in itself must be cool.

A cheer or a tear is an emotion... Yet again its just me but i fail to see how wearing a football shirt or waving a flag will create an advantage over the other side? Now a song, or a loud aggresive receptioon towards a side does.

Next your be saying everyone should take an inflatable fish to the pompey game??

I remember that I was selling them.

The new spelling mistake that I see all over facebook these days. Focks me right off.

Along with "are" instead of "our", "here" instead of "hear", "there", "their" and "they're" getting mixed up, and of course my favourite, "of" instead of "have".

Will the flag be coming to Barnsley, seems a massive shame that its going to be used for the ML tournament and nothing else !!! Very surprised it wasnt out last night on the empty seats.

I feel that it is something the club should be proud of and eager to display to show to every team how much he meant to us. However it seems it will be locked away until the next ML tournament. Seems as if all of the effort and time has gone to waste.
