dronskisaint Posted 4 August, 2011 Share Posted 4 August, 2011 You need to move on from the Pompey obsession thing, if we set our targets on only besting them we'll forget that there are much better clubs in our own back-yard like Reading & Brighton who'll delight in stuffing a self-styled BIG team like us especially as we are local. Make no mistake both have the ability to stuff us big time if we're off guard. Luckily Pompey are "who?" to Adkins so one doubts the team will be as fixated on the blue boys as you. As far as Pompey is concerned, they are in their own mid-life crises and will have to resolve that before they can become serious challengers again, indeed I worry that they may be dropping down a few more leagues yet before they can get their act together, another reason why we need to forget them and get on with our own progress. Or you could think 'S E N S E O F H U M O U R' rather than obsession? NB - This does require having one.

Minsk Posted 5 August, 2011 Share Posted 5 August, 2011 We are no better ourselves: http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2409787,00.html HUGE difference. The article you linked states that the money from the winning bidders of an auction will GO TO charity. The Skates steal from charities.

Last time I checked the total raised by current bids alone is over £1500 ... so yes, we are better.
Lazlo78 Posted 6 August, 2011 Share Posted 6 August, 2011 @Minsk, dronskisaint & SamKimish: I'll have to admit that I didn't spot the bit about charity in the link - and yes, that makes some difference
