I seem to remember going up to Bramall Lane and seeing us beat Shef Utd 2-0 on the first day of the season, early 90's perhaps. Or perhaps that was just the first away match of the season.

I remember walking up to town after the QPR game and the goon who used to sell THE MILITANT by the information bureau was Shouting "Get the paper Colin Clarke reads" :-)

I think it might be one since 88. And nearly always we have played the first game at home too.

Norwich lost last season... As did we... both got promoted. I'd take a 4-0 defeat and finish r up all day long.

I expect if you looked at the 2nd, 3rd and 4th game of the season over the same period of time we have not won to many of them either. Lets face it we have been pretty naff for a few years until the last couple of years and 2003/2004.
