If there was an extra hour in the day, and you didnt have to spend it working, what would you do with it? And when would you want that extra hour to slot in?

For the puspose of this exercise (yes you can say you have done some exercise this week if you complete it Scotty!) your sleep requirement would not be affected by the extra hour (i.e. apparently we need 8 hours of sleep a night to function properly, this would not change)

I would sleep (even if I dont have to) in my hour and it would slot in between 6.30am & 7.30am

I would have it at 2am on a Sunday. Wow, just thinking about it gets me all excited, I wish it would really happen.

Oh.

Don't be silly. If it ever happened, it would be 2am on a Monday- not a Sunday.

I would like my extra hour just when you are starting to enjoy yourself at night and you realise that the pub is closing in 10 minutes.

I thought DSM was a lawyery person?

Which pub do you own/run DSM?

His daughter and her husband run his pub, he just sits back and spends the profits! He is a lawyer also.

Eh?

I think Scotty may have thought you meant Sunday night, and 2am which would be technically Monday morning. I dont know if he understood your intentions meaning this coming Sat night / Sun morning, when the clocks go back...

FYI I am no longer IC the pub. My daughter, and son-in-law who were running it for me have just had a baby and so are taking some time out.

What a 'tard. "2am Sunday" cannot mean 2 hours after the day has changed on Sunday night to Monday...

I was very excited about the extra hour on Sunday morning.

But my 5 month old granddaughter is staying this weekend and she won't know about the extra hour :(

So instead of getting up at 6am, you'll be up at 5am, um

If only it was extra. I'd sacrifice 2 hours in the mornings to tack onto the evenings. Why, oh why we still have to suffer this god awful BST to GMT for 6 months of the year, is beyond my comprehension.

It's even worse for the environment ffs.

Interesting read that!

In the new found spirit of polls, we should have a poll about who thinks time should be put back an hour each winter!

I cant see why we continue to do it reading that information>?!

Because some people prefer going to bed at 5pm when it's pitch black out side, others prefer hiding in City parks and raping people at 5pm as opposed to 2am in the furcking morning.

It's a serious subject, so it's probably best put in the Lounge.

But consider it done... eventually.

Well it's not quite THAT bad. She usually wakes up around 8am and, since I promised my daughter that I'd entertain the baby, I'll have to get up at 7 instead. Not really such a hardship and worth it for the lovely smiles :)

Her mother was a baby when we did the 'don't change the clocks' experiment. It was great! But we'd reverted back to it when her sister was born and I remember how difficult it was persuading a baby to wait an extra hour for the ol' t*tty :D
