Footballfan Posted 28 July, 2011 Posted 28 July, 2011 Has anyone noticed the Sun advert is Saint v Bournmouth,
Footballfan Posted 28 July, 2011 Author Posted 28 July, 2011 There are 2 adverts for the Sun on at the monent 1 is Mun Utd v Man City the other is Saints v Bournmouth.
SaintNeil90 Posted 28 July, 2011 Posted 28 July, 2011 At a guess I'm going to say that their are two TV adverts on for 'The Sun' being broadcast at the moment and something in those adverts involves footage from the Southampton V Bournemouth game. ???
Footballfan Posted 28 July, 2011 Author Posted 28 July, 2011 they have changed the film into pictures
S-Clarke Posted 28 July, 2011 Posted 28 July, 2011 You are not making any sense mate, not sure if that's your aim!
SparkySaint Posted 28 July, 2011 Posted 28 July, 2011 Which channel or channels have you seen this advert on?
voteforpedro Posted 28 July, 2011 Posted 28 July, 2011 There are 2 adverts for the Sun on at the monent 1 is Mun Utd v Man City the other is Saints v Bournmouth. I can't find the Saints version, but here's the Utd v City advert... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T4gWBQngxaY
SamKimish Posted 28 July, 2011 Posted 28 July, 2011 The guy that did that animation also did one for Gareth Bale's performances against Milan and one of Él Clasico.
SaintAmongSkates Posted 28 July, 2011 Posted 28 July, 2011 So is the sun no longer boycotting our clubs good name?
Saint_Jonny Posted 28 July, 2011 Posted 28 July, 2011 Well now that we've got to the bottom of it I REALLY wanna see the Saints vs Bomo version!
SamKimish Posted 28 July, 2011 Posted 28 July, 2011 Has anyone else actually seen the Saints vs. Bournemouth advert? I'm not calling the OP a liar, I just can't anything even remotely related to it on the internet; the press release for the advertising campaign states they have financed one 30s advert.
Katalinic Posted 28 July, 2011 Posted 28 July, 2011 Has anyone else actually seen the Saints vs. Bournemouth advert? I'm not calling the OP a liar, I just can't anything even remotely related to it on the internet; the press release for the advertising campaign states they have financed one 30s advert. Yep saw it tonight and instantly recognised the goal in cartoon form.
The9 Posted 28 July, 2011 Posted 28 July, 2011 So is the sun no longer boycotting our clubs good name? Not since about September last year.
SaintNeil90 Posted 28 July, 2011 Posted 28 July, 2011 Until I see it with my own eyes, this... Has anyone else actually seen the Saints vs. Bournemouth advert? I'm not calling the OP a liar, I just can't anything even remotely related to it on the internet; the press release for the advertising campaign states they have financed one 30s advert.
sambosa75 Posted 28 July, 2011 Posted 28 July, 2011 Wish people would stop spunking their load over Rooney's goal. He shinned it FFS. It could have gone anywhere. If Darren Fletcher did it, it wouldn't have got anywhere near the goal of the season.
trousers Posted 28 July, 2011 Posted 28 July, 2011 Does this forum have a subtitles feature for hard of understanding people such as myself?
ThreeSixty Posted 28 July, 2011 Posted 28 July, 2011 the saints version? Yes. It's a sun promotion for getting 2 football league tickets for £9.50. I presume you'd be collection tickets and considering other football league wide promotions in recent times, we won't even be included. It was of Hammond's goal at the 3-1 win at their place.
Jimmy_D Posted 28 July, 2011 Posted 28 July, 2011 That's interesting. Pretty sure it was after the Saints Bournemouth game that they first started the South Coast Club thingy.
sandwichsaint Posted 28 July, 2011 Posted 28 July, 2011 Surreal all round. Why use Saints footage when we don't normally take part in these promotions?
theyin Posted 29 July, 2011 Posted 29 July, 2011 Wish people would stop spunking their load over Rooney's goal. He shinned it FFS. It could have gone anywhere. If Darren Fletcher did it, it wouldn't have got anywhere near the goal of the season. Delap's was better
skintsaint Posted 29 July, 2011 Posted 29 July, 2011 why do people slag that Rooney goal off - it was a good finish?..yeah he might of shinned it...right in the top corner. Le Tiss' goal v Newcastle where he lobbed it over a few defenders was mi**** at the end of it I feel...the ball bobbled it, great goal still.
Gingeletiss Posted 29 July, 2011 Posted 29 July, 2011 Yep saw it tonight and instantly recognised the goal in cartoon form. Love it

Lallana's Left Peg Posted 29 July, 2011 Posted 29 July, 2011 Pretty sure the the action and sound is taken from this:

Which is all fine, except Le Tiss himself did state that he scuffed it...

Le Tiss' goal v Newcastle where he lobbed it over a few defenders was mi**** at the end of it I feel...the ball bobbled it, great goal still. People slag the Rooney goal off because he speculatively threw a shin at it and it ended up in the top corner. It required zero technique. Delap's goal was better but does it get repeated ad infinitum? No, because it was Rory Delap. Typical British press always quick to label someone world class if they are British, Jack Wilshere apparently is world class because he can pass a ball more than 10 yards consistently.
Mattio Posted 29 July, 2011 Posted 29 July, 2011 Pretty sure the the action and sound is taken from this: I saw this the other day but didn't realise it was this goal til now

Colinjb Posted 29 July, 2011 Posted 29 July, 2011 Just saw the advert now. As a though, would the artist have needed the video takers permission to copy it? That is definitely taken from the Youtube footage posted earlier.
sambosa75 Posted 29 July, 2011 Posted 29 July, 2011 sorry...it was an amazing goal...had lallana did it you would be creaming yourself Yes perhaps I would, at the time. The difference is I wouldn't still be harping on about it. Delap's goal truly was better with a superior technique but it didn't warrant dedicating an advert to for the national newspaper and it doesn't really get talked about much on here.

But Delap wasnt playing for a championship winning side. This is a silly argument.
Saint Stimp Posted 29 July, 2011 Posted 29 July, 2011 Delap's was better Not taking anything away from Delap's goal, but the flight of the ball made it a lot easier for him to strike it that Rooney's. Rooney's came from a pacey cross that had travelled some distance, whereas Delap's ball was floating in the air, therefore a lot easier to get the timing right. Yes Rooney hit it with his shin, but the timing and athleticism was incredible.

Macey_J2 Posted 29 July, 2011 Posted 29 July, 2011 (edited) what. lol. So where can i find this advert?! Edited 29 July, 2011 by Macey_J2
Colinjb Posted 29 July, 2011 Posted 29 July, 2011 lol. So where can i find this advert?! If you hear Ian Wright talking over some sketched match footage then that's it. It's only a brief advert, no direct mention is made of either Saints or Bournemouth but it is absolutely, certainly adapted from the Youtube link of Dean Hammond's goal shown above.
Bakovnetski Posted 29 July, 2011 Posted 29 July, 2011 So is the sun no longer boycotting our clubs good name? They'll still give us a good hacking.
