Enjoy every minute! Bring plenty of unhealthy, sugar-filled food and you'll / he'll be fine ;-) I took my son to his first game vs Gillingham in October 09 (ironically since we live in Gillingham). He was almost 5 then and now he sits with me' in the Chapel most games. My almost 4 year old daughter will be coming on the 6th too! Hope you and your son enjoy the day.

On Saturday will be my son's first Saints game, can't wait he's only 3 and knows all the songs! Still remember my old man taking me to my first game.

Hope we score a few goals and make his day something to remember.

You've taught him the worlds to "My old man, said be a Pompey Fan" ?

Disgraceful !!!

I hope he remembers the day might be a little young though and follows the Saints like I have all over the country

I took my Dad to his First Saints Match in 1962 it was against Sunderland Cloughie was playing and it was a goaless draw

My brother was born forty minutes after the Leeds Game in 1950 and he cannot remember a thing about it!!!

My 5 yr olds first game was final home game last season. We went with my dad so it was quite special for all of us having three generations there.

He loved every minute of it and is really looking forward to this season.

Ok it was a promotion party and i have told him it won't be like that week in week out,but he is really excited about going again.

We did take a packed lunch as it was expensive enough buying him merchandise and luckily he was not bored one iota.

He enjoyed venturing on the pitch and singing along.

Very good deal, price wise,as we went into the family section.

Have a great day.

Took my lad, who was three at the time, to the all stars free thing at the end of last season. He loved it. Think it's going to be a costly future!!

The season tickets for u11's are free in the family stand! By the time he's that age anyway you can send him chimney sweeping, that'll more then cover it. ;)

Have got home from work and told him we will be going to see Southampton and Ricky Lambert on Saturday and he nearly exploded and told me he thought it was going to be a crazy day!! Has spent the rest of the evening stomping round and signing various renditions of Saints songs and signing only one Markus Liebherr in the bath!!!

My son's first game was Leeds last year. We won 1-0. He was 4 (turned 5 last week). He got a bit scared sat on my lap when we all jumped up on the goal & lost attention second half but it didn't go badly. Had to read Thomas The Tank Engine at half time & the warm up ball bounced off his head!

I hope you & your son have a wonderful day. It's so special, that first match. I

hope your son is old enough to maintain the attention for 90mins. My son often recited the "Pompey going down with no money in the bank..." chant which he picked up from nursery. I knew the few quid extra for that nursery was money well spent!

Nice.

I had a good moment today. I have two scouse kids. Little beggars they are, but what can you do? The youngest has already declared for Liverpool FC and I assumed the eldest had done the same. It transpires that "Well, if I HAD to support anyone, it would be Southampton".

That's good, isn't it?
