Dazza82 Posted 28 July, 2011 Share Posted 28 July, 2011 I dont get some people saying it was Seaborne's fault for the 2nd goal. It clearly was Martin's fault as he moved well out of position allowing Cox to move into the empty space behind him, Seaborne was playing left back at this time

He recovered well i thought and didn't do much wrong after that. I still think he'd benefit from a year of week in week out football in L1 or L2 though. derry Posted 28 July, 2011 Share Posted 28 July, 2011 It should be remembered that there aren't many good young centrebacks that stand out, there are however a lot of centrebacks who eventually matured into good players. It is time to remember this before dismissing young centrebacks. Martin needs a few years of playing and developing, Seabourne is further along that road but nowhere near as good as he will get in the fullness of time. In the meantime Fonte, Jaidi and Seabourne are the current centrebacks, Martin is developing, acquiring a good centreback is a necessity and looks imminent.
