You done well. High Five!!!

Happy, as the saying goes, to help!

There is a new Indian restaurant opening soon, where the Leigh Hotel was. I've no idea if they will do deliveries. Rumour, from within the Asian restaurant trade, is that it's going to be a Kuti's? The freehold went for £450k, fitting out will be a big lump on top (the place had been neglected by the brewery over the years) so I'll guess that whoever does open it up will be looking at all revenue streams.

Despite my allegiance to the Nashaa I shall be trying it out though.

I'm afraid I don't believe in a restaurant that does both. One or the other for me.

I've only tried the indian so cant vouch for the chinese. There is a mix of indians and chinese people in there so I dont think its one imitating the other :)

Sobzi Massala is the only dish I've had as I have to have it every time i go there. It is vegetarian mind you....

(I realise reading that back that it doesnt really makes me worthy of commenting on the place does it having had one vegetarian indian dish...)

Went to Natraj in Romsey that everyone has been raving about. Have to admit I was underwhelmed. Nice enough restaurant, food was decent and service was acceptable but really was nothing to write home about. Give me the Sunrise in Chandlers Ford any day of the week!!

I agree it is a little strange but when I was in Goa a few years ago the chef in a local restaurant I talked with said that they were all trained to prepare (including at the local college) both Indian and Chines cuisine.

Yes went there other night, I thought not as good as previous times. Is the Great Mogul still in Eastleigh?

The father-in-law has a party in his pants whenever Sunrise is brought up. I had the blandest madras I have ever had from there and a Peshwari Naan minus the stuffing. Refuse to go back. Natraaj is my new second home. Well done ESB.

I like the Nashaa but wouldn't rave about it. I'm off there tonight in fact and I know I'll have a very good meal and good service and it won't cost an arm and a leg. They changed the menu about 6 months ago and it has some very unusual dishes on it now and I'm still working my way through it. I'd love to know how they are still in business as there never appears to be more than 20% occupancy whenever I'm in there.

The Great Moghul is still in Eastleigh and is another I go to a lot. Again, it's in the same category as the Nashaa - doesn't disappoint but doesn't wow you either. The menu isn't as adventurous as the Nashaa's.

I got told that The Leigh site is going to be a Kuti's but haven't seen anything definitive about it.

Locally, I'd recommend the Rimjhim in Colden Common if you want something a little bit different with a little more quality. The menu is slightly out of the norm, the food quality is top drawer and service is great. Winchester version of the same restaurant is good too.

Gandis chopsticks. Mmmmmm

Choice of Indian or Chinese

That idea bit the dust at least 6 months ago. No wonder because the food was not kept piping hot, despite the bain maries!

It's now a Chinese/Thai/Sushi place and they proudly advertise 'No MSG !'

Is the Sunrise still owned by my old mate Laboor Ali, who used to own the Moonlight in Eastleigh?

I gave up on the Great Moghul about ten years ago because of the drop in quality. Not been back since so I don't know what that's like nowadays.

Safron in Eastleigh is the way to go. As has been mentioned Mogul is very Ford Mondeo you know what you're gonna get.

As for the OP I believe Tandoori Flames in Bishopstoke deliver. It is next door to the best Chinese take away in miles The Golden Jade.
