Song for De Ridder

Marsdinho

Recommended Posts

The missus came up with (to the tune of Night Fever, see what she did there?)

"De Ridder, De Ridderrrrr,

He knows how to do it

De Ridder De Ridderrrrr

He knows how to move it".

Or of course "Knight Fever" also works. Probably could do with some tweaking of "do it" and "move it" but it's partially faithful to the original, and a vaguely familiar tune.

Which also has actions. :D

A bit of a long shot, but this Fair To Midland song is stunningly good...

Ridder me this! What can you find?

That always comes from the Archers end.

Ridder me this! In your plain sight,

When you're red and white! Up the Saints.

De Ridder is a dancer

He's a souls companion

You can feel him everywhere

Lift your hands and voices

Free your mind and join us

Saints will win the Premieeeeaair

I'm serious as cancer when I say,

"De Ridder is a dancer"

to black and yellow by wiz khalifa.

''ah, yeeeeeah you know who it is. steve de ridder, steve de ridder, steve de ridder, steve de ridder''

I would never enter St Mary's ever again if our fans sung that ****.

Not sure of the lyrics but Steve De Ridder fits in nicely with the chorus of Sing Hosanna.

Something along the lines of:

Steve De Ridder

Steve De Ridder

Steve De Ridder

Scoring from the right

Steve De Ridder

Steve De Ridder

Steve De Ridder

In the red and white

Tune:

(To the tune of Delilah)

I saw him wide on the right when he passed by their left back (DA DA DA etc.)

I saw his flickering skills as he did it again (DA DA DA etc.)

Heeeeee was from Belgium

As he deceived them I watched and went out of my mind

My, my, my, De Rider

Fly, fly, fly, De Rider

I can see, him crossing towards Connolly

Or cutting inside and teeing up one more for Ricky...

We finally have the opportunity to use this classic. I have always had a dream of this being sung at St Marys, all of us arm in arm with big smiles on our faces swaying and blowing kisses to each other.

win or lose

sink or swim

one thing is certain, we'll never give in!

arm in arm

hand in hand

we all stand together

win or lose

sink or swim

one thing is certain, we'll never give in!

arm in arm

hand in hand

we all love de ridder.

To the tune of Joe Dolce's 'Shaddupa Your Face' once AOC is sold: -

Who needs Alex Ox-lade, we've got De Ridder,

Whatta you think you do, why you looka so sad,

He's got nicer hair, he's got much more pace, and just look at his face.

How about the following to the tune of the can can introduction (24 seconds in the attached file -

)

Steve de Ridder

Gets the ball and does his thing*

Steve de Ridder

Our flying Dutchman on the wing

Steve de Ridder

On the left and on the right

Steve de Ridder

He's the knight in red and white

(score a goal and hear us sing/he's the knight who would be king)
