solentstars Posted 25 July, 2011 Share Posted 25 July, 2011 This isn't exactly true. Yes, the club banned Nick from having an ST last year, and that was a stupid and unneccessary decision. This season, even Nick himself doesn't know if he can have an ST or not. He hasn't tried to buy one, and apparently won't until the club come forward and let him know that he can officially have one. The club haven't done this, but nor have they said they won't let him have one. Until he actually tries to by a season ticket then no-one knows if there is indeed a continued ban. well that is one of the many weird decisions that keep going on at the club, great way for a club to treat one of its loyal supporters
IFHP Posted 25 July, 2011 Share Posted 25 July, 2011 I didn’t go on Saturday. I didn’t go because of the price. I didn’t go because the club never phoned me up personally and asked if I would like to go. I didn’t go because it was not in the echo till Thursday night. I went sailing and very nice it was too. I must be a bad fan as I’m not going to the West Brom game either.

Crab Lungs Posted 25 July, 2011 Share Posted 25 July, 2011 well that is one of the many weird decisions that keep going on at the club, great way for a club to treat one of its loyal supporters Why doesn't he just drop the ego and give them a call? Does it really matter who calls who? It's childish. Surely, if you are that loyal and passionate you'd just get on with it and ask, not wait around like a schoolboy waiting be asked to the Prom. Just MO.
St Steve Posted 25 July, 2011 Share Posted 25 July, 2011 It was silly to have the game at the same time as the Netley Marsh Steam Rally, thats where everyone was.
COMEONYOUREDS Posted 25 July, 2011 Share Posted 25 July, 2011 I didn't go because: I had a prior family engagement I live in London so travel time and cost issue I have just spent £465 renewing my season ticket, so the cost of ticket + travel on top of this I simply can't justify Whilst I kind of liked the idea of the format, the 45 minute wait between games seemed way over the top None of the people I would normally go with were available/wanted to go, and i'm not going to sit around st marys for 4 hours on my own
NickG Posted 25 July, 2011 Share Posted 25 July, 2011 (edited) I didn't go because I didn't want to. First home game for while and think its bit pathetic if you feel that anyone has been let down. Edited 26 July, 2011 by NickG

Crazy Diamond Posted 25 July, 2011 Share Posted 25 July, 2011 oh dear i see the nothing wrong at the club monkeys I'm a monkey am I? Then allow me to retort, knuckle dragger. I agree with the way the Club is being run. This is not to say that I am ignorant and will not speak up when I decide I don't like something. People like Illingsworth always want to be more than a supporter and think they need to be ranked. All supporters are equal in my eyes - and as such they shouldn't try and interfere and try to have a say in how a Club is run. Let's not forget where we were when certain fans wanted a piece of the action, going on pre-season tours at the expense of the Club etc. We were a team with no future, were those two things coincidental? I don't think they were. Why didn't I go on Saturday? I did not have the time nor the funds to spare. Was I being disrespectful to Markus? No, and I resent any accusation that I 'let him down' as the OP suggested. There is nothing wrong with the way the Club is being run. We're not exactly QPR, charging away fans as much as £57, threatening to kick out their manager who just won them promotion to the Premier League etc. Mr. Cortese might not be perfect but I'd have him in charge over any current Championship club Chairman. I think people ought to be a bit more grateful and remember who they are, and remember that there is no hierarchy when it comes to supporters.
