S-Clarke Posted 25 July, 2011 Posted 25 July, 2011 Going to be a great player......full of confidence and technical ability, plus even more important.....a loyal and proud player !! I guess, going by your name - you're a bit more aware of him than most English fans?
sussexsaint Posted 25 July, 2011 Posted 25 July, 2011 Look at his twitter picture, clearly delighted to be here http://a2.twimg.com/profile_images/1458806550/image.jpg hmm wonder who signed the bottom?
thefunkygibbons Posted 25 July, 2011 Posted 25 July, 2011 Looks like he has an eye for the net No bad thing
capitalsaint Posted 25 July, 2011 Posted 25 July, 2011 Steve de Ridder is my new favourite player. I said it first.

beatlesaint Posted 25 July, 2011 Posted 25 July, 2011 Steve de Ridder is my new favourite player. I said it first. yes but he has replied to my tweet so he is my new favourite player too :-)
The Kraken Posted 25 July, 2011 Posted 25 July, 2011 I'm looking forward to seeing him. He's only the winger Federico Arias could have been. He could yet become the 21st century's Frankie Bennett, if he works hard enough.
Matthew Le God Posted 25 July, 2011 Posted 25 July, 2011 yes but he has replied to my tweet so he is my new favourite player too :-) He'll have to be careful about answering tweets like that in the future for competitive games, as Adkins won't like team info made public.

Matthew Le God Posted 25 July, 2011 Posted 25 July, 2011 (edited) A player saying he hopes to play some part in the game. Can't see the issue I wasn't talking about his reply in this case, but just answering questions like that in the future. However, West Brom do now know there is a possibility he could play. Something that if it were a competitive game, the club may not want made public. Of course in this case it doesn't matter at all and is a mountain out of a molehill. Bet you would report him to Adkins. You are the fun Hoover, sucking the joy out of the Internet leaving nothing but cold metallic facts and football manager stats.

Its Ok he won't retweet you as he knows you will bore the arse off him with your pedantry like you do to some of us on here.

You are the fun Hoover, sucking the joy out of the Internet leaving nothing but cold metallic facts and football manager stats. The fun is watching Saints win. Anything that may help that should be done, do you not agree? Hence why Leeds and Simon Grayson did this... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/14188973.stm We don't want Leeds to have a ban on Twitter, our players giving team news away and Leeds beating us on the opening day do we?

Matthew Le God Posted 25 July, 2011 Posted 25 July, 2011 **** me I only asked him if he was playing in a friendly on Wednesday night !!!! And all I said, is he should be careful about answering questions like that in a second language. Then got jumped on. I wasn't having a go at you or him.

saint lard Posted 2 August, 2011 Author Posted 2 August, 2011 He must have been doing something right at his old club....... stief87 Steve De Ridder Is proud of his player-of-the-year award from #degraafschap!!!! Thank you guys!
Pilchards Posted 3 August, 2011 Posted 3 August, 2011 Heard how this deal came about. De Ridder mentioned to someone that he wanted to play in the premiership as it was the best league to play in he thinks. This guy mentioned it to Svensson (take it he was talking about Michael not Anders) and he said come to Southampton as it would be a great place to learn the English game, the words give it two years in that league and you will be ready was mentioned. So does he wait for us to get there or does he demand a transfer? Anyway thanks Michael for this as early signs tell us he is going to be a gem.
SNSUN Posted 3 August, 2011 Posted 3 August, 2011 I take it we're not signing Antonio then. Whilst selection headaches are heaven for some, I wonder how Lallana, Guly, De Ridder, Oxo and even Forte will fit into two slots! Oh, and Holmes too.
