Crazy Diamond Posted 22 July, 2011 Posted 22 July, 2011 Good news though, Sam Sodje has been transfer listed by Notts County.
Matthew Le God Posted 22 July, 2011 Posted 22 July, 2011 well it happened thanks for the heads up Sir Woody It hasn't happened (yet at least). Steve De Ridder is a completely different player to the one Sir Woody was talking about... Its a young defender called Jemmal
Toadhall Saint Posted 22 July, 2011 Posted 22 July, 2011 It hasn't happened (yet at least). Steve De Ridder is a completely different player to the one Sir Woody was talking about... There's me told! feck off sir woody your a tit - is that better?
saintjay77 Posted 22 July, 2011 Posted 22 July, 2011 It hasn't happened (yet at least). Steve De Ridder is a completely different player to the one Sir Woody was talking about... He should of quit while he was ahead
Matthew Le God Posted 22 July, 2011 Posted 22 July, 2011 There's me told! feck off sir woody your a tit - is that better? Yeah, that'll do.
The9 Posted 22 July, 2011 Posted 22 July, 2011 Maybe the OP is full of **** and was laughing at everyone sitting at their computers waiting on the fake news and then it backfired spectacularly?? A posting made on my Facebook wall just now suggests not. There were apparently 2 medicals today, there might be a minor speed bump with the second one. As far as Tunisian centre backs go, I'm pretty sure we've shown we're not risk averse...
The9 Posted 22 July, 2011 Posted 22 July, 2011 So, is De Ridder our new number 19... or our new number 11 ? The OS is remarkably vague about fee, shirt number AND availability for tomorrow. I'm guessing they're waiting until the Ticket Office closes for today to imply that one or both new players might be playing tomorrow, but you can now only get year tickets on the day for £2 more...
capitalsaint Posted 22 July, 2011 Posted 22 July, 2011 If we sign a centre back I'll be over the moon.
Matthew Le God Posted 22 July, 2011 Posted 22 July, 2011 So, is De Ridder our new number 19... or our new number 11 ? The OS is remarkably vague about the shirt number. He is number 33.
um pahars Posted 22 July, 2011 Posted 22 July, 2011 Sounds like clever guess work to me. If we are going to have 1 or 2 signings in by saturday it would make sense to have a medical beforehand. As there are no days left before Saturday then a medical this morning and an announcment this arvo/tomorrow would make perfect sense. Ever thought about telling the arabs where to find sand? Sir Woody is a stand up guy so slightly disappointed that some are having a pop on here when all he's doing is sharing some info.

locksheathsaint101 Posted 22 July, 2011 Posted 22 July, 2011 Still looking for a number five then. Get a CB and a striker and I will be overwhelmingly positive about the season.
The9 Posted 22 July, 2011 Posted 22 July, 2011 I am going to delete that question about his squad number in a minute.
saintjay77 Posted 22 July, 2011 Posted 22 July, 2011 Sir Woody is a stand up guy so slightly disappointed that some are having a pop on here when all he's doing is sharing some info. Dont get me wrong as I dont mean to have a pop. But 90% of the forum could of guessed that there would be a medical today and possibly a signing too. Its nice to hear something once in a while but the fact that 99.9% of the time we hear nothing until a deal is done I take most ITK's with a pinch of salt. No offence to Sir Woody intended.
deadpanmatt Posted 22 July, 2011 Posted 22 July, 2011 He is number 33. The number Ali Dia wore. Is Souness involved in this transfer?
The Kraken Posted 22 July, 2011 Posted 22 July, 2011 I am going to delete that question about his squad number in a minute. Has it been released what number he'll be given yet?
maysie Posted 22 July, 2011 Posted 22 July, 2011 Saintsplayer: Adkins says I'm sure they'll be a new player very soon and smiles adding once the signatures on the line we'll announce it... Maybe just a formality??
The Saturday Boy Posted 22 July, 2011 Posted 22 July, 2011 Has it been released what number he'll be given yet? Yeah it was announced by Jordan Sibley on his twitter feed and Meridian just showed him holding up his shirt on the pitch at St Mary's
egg Posted 22 July, 2011 Posted 22 July, 2011 Yeah it was announced by Jordan Sibley on his twitter feed and Meridian just showed him holding up his shirt on the pitch at St Mary's Very helpful, thanks.
Kevo7 Posted 22 July, 2011 Posted 22 July, 2011 He looks like he's got a few more tricks up his sleeves than oxo
dubai_phil Posted 22 July, 2011 Posted 22 July, 2011 Saintsplayer: Adkins says I'm sure they'll be a new player very soon and smiles adding once the signatures on the line we'll announce it... Maybe just a formality?? Perhaps the magic phrase... Work Permit If he's a Tunisian.. And the Tories cutting back on Visas and all that. Just a maybe - player looks to sign, player has Medical, everyone agrees, just needs that final piece of paper..
Dangermouth Posted 22 July, 2011 Posted 22 July, 2011 Head up, strong, looks for the good pass, good control, quick feet. Could be good.

Just a maybe - player looks to sign, player has Medical, everyone agrees, just needs that final piece of paper.. Work Permit will def. be needed if it's Jemal. We had to go through quite alot of hoops to get Jaidi's sorted...and he'd been playing in England for 3 years beforehand!

Just clarifying....
Colinjb Posted 22 July, 2011 Posted 22 July, 2011 So we can blame Trousers and Stanley if we doesn't get a work permit? Just clarifying.... Never mind that! I would blame myself!
dubai_phil Posted 22 July, 2011 Posted 22 July, 2011 So we can blame Trousers and Stanley if we doesn't get a work permit? Just clarifying.... Or the other lot for letting in so many that there's no room left for any more... Says the bloke with a foreign fiancee (phew EU) who'll be coming back in a few years.....
Jez Posted 22 July, 2011 Posted 22 July, 2011 Steve De Ridder, Belgian striker from De Graafschap in Holland Only one person has picked up on Mr Oxfordshire_saint calling this prior to the transfer being announced by the OS. Obviously some sort of inside info. Unless he saw it in the Dutch media as mentioned by Saints-Cris 10 mins later and it was earlier than the "official" announcement. I like to think that the ITK'ers still exist though!!
TopGun Posted 23 July, 2011 Posted 23 July, 2011 (edited) So it looks like Sir Woody deserves an apology from the many who gave him crap on this thread about a player called Jemal possibly signing. Edited 23 July, 2011 by TopGun
Ivan Katalinic's 'tache Posted 23 July, 2011 Posted 23 July, 2011 So it looks like Sir Woody deserves an apology from the many who gave him crap on this thread about a player called Jemal possibly signing. Do we know that Jemal is signing now then?
david in sweden Posted 24 July, 2011 Posted 24 July, 2011 Depends whether or not he has a Swiss or French Passport. If he's Tunisian - it would surely be French - wouldn't it?. He wouldn't have been able to leave leave Tunisia on a Swiss one. ....and he'd certainly pass the qualification as a current international player.
