Ammar Jemal

Super Carlton

Recommended Posts

120 is the top of the guidelines for League One players (although they are flexible). The two players above him (with ratings just over the top of the League One guidelines) were Guly do Prado (as rated by the Cesena researcher) and Joe Lewis, who probably does need to come down.

And what did Lallana and Fonte have? The Southampton researcher is clearly not doing his job properly.

WTF is football manager!!

It's a special time in a man's life when he doesn't have sex for 6 years.

Those stats gave me a semi.

That's bad isn't it.

If youre looking for sympathy adrian, you came to the wrong place ;)

Tunisians and Football Manager...what a combination.

Maybe Jaidi said this guy would do us a job and recommended him. Maybe we have good Swiss connections these days? Even so looks good (but every player does on Youtube - expect that Sunderland centreback).

As long as the fee isn't over the top wouldnt grumble at this one - plenty of European experiance, International experiance and we are signing him in the 2nd division. Good stuff.

I mentioned the version number because the data changes.

Not read all the thread - anyone else notice he was wearing the no.5 shirt at one time? We've left the no.5 free - for him perhaps? Seems a good fit in terms of what we need and as others have said there are good links (Jaidi/Swiss). I would be very pleased if he signed for us.

Right i ve looking through the Tunisian forums (yes, i speak french). Appararently Ammar Jemal wants to leave the Young Boys. He refused to come back for training beginning of july.

Stoke Brest, Caen and Saints have been interested in him. Stoke might be out of the race now as they have just signed Woodgate.

Ammar can play in the center of defense and left back. He is left footed and lauded as very strong physically so wouldn't have a lot of trouble adapting to the english game. Has also got a decent left peg on him. He is considered as the future of the Tunisian national team and is one of their best players.

Thanks for that, it sounds promising. Whether a rehash of the 18th or not, this sounds like a real possibility in so many ways, and a rumour picked up from Tunisia will not have been placed in some hope of us finding it.

Sounds a promising player and seems to be the exact age that we are looking for. Anyone get the feeling we are building a team that will be together for a while? Lets hope the reports re a medical are correct.

He does sound very promising. It's exactly the sort of signings we make too, totally out of the blue and not expected. Exactly the sort of CB we need to....sounds like a younger Jaidi, and is left footed. So ticks every single box for me.

Sort of fits in with what the our new scout said a few months ago. ''Good European players with the ability to play in the premier league, but with the mentality to do well in the championship for 1 or 2 years"

He also wore a sash shirt!

Good point, and given our crowds I'm sure we can outbid Caen and Brest. Playing regularly in front of decent crowds must also be a draw.

.

sounds like a bad apple...

I too noticed that, an attitude not entirely removed from Kenwynne Jones a few seasons ago, for which he was widely condemned on here.Good prospect he may be,but not sure we need another Puncheon in the building, or on the bus.

Anyone think there might be issues regarding his work permit? He made his debut in may 2010 for Tunisia, so hasn't played 75% of internationals in the last 2 years.

There might therefore be a delay in the deal, the same sort of delay we had when we signed Raidi.

nope won't be an issue, he's been playing for Tunisia since early 2009, went to the WC with them as well. The issue will be money, the Verts were sniffing around him, Berne told them to wedge up a shedload or f**k off.As Sainté never have any money it ended there.

Swiss chairmen eh!!!!!!!!!!

Might be different scenario now though if he hasnt reported back for training - they could have lowered their demands? All speculation of course.

Maybe, but then if that worked everybody would do it wouldn't they. Why Ox could even do it. There is a precedent, Mexes got fed up with Auxerre messing him around and just transferred himself to the AS Rome, contract or no contract. At the end of the various court cases AS Rome had to pay Auxerre 8 million euros plus some sort of damages and compensation and Mexes was banned from playing for about 3 months.

Spoke to my mate in the gym, who is Tunisian and knows Jaidi. Says he is a very good solid defender, quick and has an excellent left foot, kept saying he was very solid but sometimes might be a bit hot-tempered. Says he was very close to signing for Stoke but Stoke were unwilling to pay the money for him. Suggested Stoke may still be in the hunt but felt Jaidi's influence might just tempt him here. Said he reminded him of Jones, the lad who just went to Man Utd. Felt it would be a really good signing if true. After our conversation I was left feeling that Stoke are probably favorites still but lets see......
