Right... Just got off of the phone with the ticket enquiries line (the 0845 6889288 number rather than the sales one). I'd barely finished telling the woman on the other end what had happened before she apologised. Apparently they're trying to work out which was the dodgy batch but in the meantime are laboriously phoning through everybody that's bought one to check whether they've been affected.

She asked me to destroy my current booklet and said there'll be a full one on its way in the post today. Seems reasonable in terms of how little effort I had to put in, but I can see a few problems arising if people don't destroy their old booklets. Or if there's a few chancers they phone who claim theirs is incorrect when it isn't. Cynical I know, but not impossible.

Pretty big cock-up in all. Glad I've got mine sorted, but looking at the bigger picture this could give the club headaches all season. Do you think there might be some kind of verification process before they send the tickets out next year?

Cheers for that number. Rang the regular one and they said I'd have to post it back, so I tried yours and the lady said there would be one in the post today.

When I rang up I was told I had to post mine back in.

Anyone know Cortese' email address. I would like a cheque to cover the costs of the 1st Class Stamp.

Surely you should be asking for a £3 handling charge.

Anyone else not had theirs through yet? My postman is a wenker!

Mine only arrived yesterday. Was told on Saturday that it had been printed last Friday

All matches were there which was a surprise

Mine has not arrived yet despite all those near me in the Stadium receiving theirs, and we paid the same time in early July. However email response I had within hours of sending an enquiry

Your season ticket is currently due to be printed out, the season tickets do not come out in any specific order unfortunately. However your season ticket will be posted out over the next couple of days.

Received my ST`s yesterday, all 7! and only 2 started from game 1. Hubby rang the office this morning and was told,

to bring them back down to the stadium and they would simply staple the other 8 games back into the books! And yes

they were full payment, not part payment tickets! AAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!

Same old, same old! Sort it out down there peeerrrllleeeaasssee! :-(

Received my second season ticket booklet today. Just ring the ticket enquiry line if you don't want to have to visit the stadium to swap it over, or stick it in the post.

Got mine on Friday, only had 9-23. Waiting for the replacement to be posted before sending back/destroying the old one, I'm not going to risk not having any sort of season ticket for the Leeds game...

Really is amazing they didn't have a ticket checking system before they posted them out. A simple double check would have most likely prevented this. Luckily mine was okay, but it seems quite widespread.

We all know you'll be keeping the booklet and flogging the vouchers for big games like the Skates.

I'm not sure how Steve thinks having a ticket for matches 9-23 is going to get him into match 1. :)

I think he just wants it so he can wave it in the stewards faces when they refuse to let him enter the ground due to not having the correct match voucher.

Well yeah, but that doesn't mean he hasn't given them all to his mate who's already in the ground. Not Steve, but the turnstile operator doesn't know what he's like...

This does actually have some quite serious repercussions for ground safety - if it wasn't for the fact that you could probably get 60,000 people into the seated areas standing up, and that not everyone who has got voucher booklets has two copies of matches 1-8 it could turn out to be quite a problem. Match 9 will also be interesting...

Any idea how many sold ?

I was told "14 and a half thousand" when I got my WBA ticket this morning (almost twice the 7,600 down the road).

At about 09:45 they had only sold 4,500 for tonight.

14.5 isn't bad, but would be nice to match Brighton's 18k to be best supported club on south coast.

There's no point comparing our support to those down the road. We're in a different league to them when it comes to support.

It's a bit like comparing Cheryl Cole with Janice Battersby.

Did they receive a nice letter in the post reminding them that as it's the pre-season, they thought they'd whack some Season Tickets on sale?

More like the same price for virtually every seat and flexible, no interest, terms, including up to 12 months.

I'd have settled for not having to do a 360mile round trip to pay in instalments.

Better pricing - fundamentally best selling point, they also had them on sale during the run in to the season which allowed them to cash in on the feelgood factor of a winning team and promotion. Thought about going to their first game v spurs on Saturday to do the ground

Few Spurs mates are going and they have a spare now. I would've probably gone if we weren't in the same league. Imagine Spurs will have a decent following there.

I got mine on Wednesday (4) and all short of the first 8 games so I made the call to 0845 6889288 (thanks Nextstar) got straight through and told them all four were short. They said they would put them in the post and yes I got a letter this morning unfortunately with only one book in. (The kids and my dad are distraught as I am the only one sure of going to the Leeds game). I hope they get it right after my next call but how are they going to cope from the 9th game on with all the tickets out there. I have not been asked to return mine or destroy them. I have now decided to pay my pound and visit the ticket office tomorrow when I get the kids new shirts and return my books when they hopefully they give me the correct ones.

TBF we would pretty much sell ST's whatever happened, and it isn't a terrible deal, £16 a game is pretty good. Football has always been expensive at St Marys. This year looks expensive as last year was so good.

Plus Brighton have the opposite connundrum. They want to sell as many as possible, in the new stadium, they have been playing in a 7k seater for ages and if they crash and burn in the NPC they won't get a return.

Simples.

p.s Have they really sold 18k ?
