Dog Posted 20 July, 2011 Share Posted 20 July, 2011 Good morning. I have recently started growing my own vegetables and at the moment I have carrots, cabbage, leeks, courgette, purple sprouting & cauli growing showing great results. But then this plant came along, I think there is two of them, could they be aubergine by any chance as I'm sure I stuck some in..... Really confused on this one, so hopefully someone one here can help?

Wes Tender Posted 20 July, 2011 Share Posted 20 July, 2011 Get shot of those courgette too while you're at it, they are disgusting just like bananas and parsnips No they're not. Courgettes are green, whereas the parsnips are cream coloured and the banana's yellow. Also one's a fruit and the other two are vegetables

Wes Tender Posted 21 July, 2011 Share Posted 21 July, 2011 Bananas are a herb factamundo: http://oxforddictionaries.com/page/bananafruitherb The yellow bit is the fruit. But according to the definition, it would be the "tree" that is herbaceous. In common usage, if people are talking about bananas, they are referring to the edible yellow fruit, not the "tree"
