and he's saintsweb and he hasn't.

I love this `me against the rest of the saintsweb' thing you have got going on, except its ********. Some posters like him, some don't.

I wouldn't be like that if so many people weren't so quick to write off prospective new players.

no I am not...often against the popular mind set...

burley was crap

wotte will keep us up

guly is not that great

hammond is bloody good

no need to sign many players

etc etc

my point was that you post so much on here and you argue your points to the xth degree that your opinion at times comes across almost as the majority not the minority view.

Just as an example, it feels to me that about half are for and half are against Mellor. I bet there are probably five times the number of people against than for, but your regular posting evens it out.

By the way just because three or four posters differ in opinion from you doesn't mean its you vs the rest of saintsweb. The vast majority of saintsweb don't post, are undecided or are just keeping their powder dry.

And Roberts goalscoring, assists and allround game aren't up to much either.

I wonder if Nasri still wants out of Arsenal?

Wesley Sneijder seems to be stalling on his move to man United, rumour is he has another offer on the table from an unnamed English club. According to the Mail today his wife holds the key to the club he choses. She wants to get into English language TV presenting and we'd be the ideal club for this with Meridian studios in Whiteley, plus we all know how good the shopping in West Quay. I think she'd be very happy in Southampton and Wes has every reason to join us. Sounds like it's ours to lose.

Do these snarky contributions never cease.

They aren't even remotely funny.

Your very own`has Skacel signed yet?' post gets better every time you tell it.

Is it not possible once somebody is on your ignore list, they stop showing up altogether, even when requoted? I want to read about football and saints issues on this forum, not have to read through a whole load of posts by certain people who have the sole intention of antagonising folk!

I've not mentioned Wesley Sneijder before. I didn't realise he was a realistic signing until the mail said about his bird wanting to be an English speaking TV presenter. We hold all the aces on this deal fellow posters.

I would be surprised after spending all that money on an oversea's scout that he never produced anything for us, even this early. When you consider the prices being touted for average Championship players, the continent must have better value.

very good point. Remind me who the scout is and had he been watching players abroad in advance of joining us?

Did he ever actually join us? I remember an article about it two or three months ago in some foreign paper but cant remember anything from the club. He isn't listed on club staff list on the OS either.

£3.25m for Sharp seemed incredibly high to me.

far too much for him, we could get someone decent for that. Can't quite see why we don't just let Connolly try out for the rest of the build up matches and may be the first couple of

League Games as well to see how it shapes up.May be he doesn't get on with Lambert or something like that.

there a lot of silly prices being quoted. Unless NC is in a really big hurry to get promotion, and the 5 year plan doesn't suggest that he is, we would be better advised to pick up good players at sensible prices when we can,and building more slowly

£3m is a LOT of money for a club that is probably turning over no more than £15m PA

Sharp/Lefondre? One has been in the championship, one league 2, but are they much different in terms of ability? I've not seen LeFondre live to make that decision.

With regards to signing a striker, isn't Sharp very similar in style to Barnard and Connelly? Would we be looking to offload Barnard if another comes in or is Adkins thinking we might be able to play without Lambert? Sharp and Connelly. Is that ever going ti work? Barnard and Connelly certainy didn't in that early game last season.

So abusive. If you dont like it put me on ignore, either that or go an bosh one out and get that frustration out of your systems. It really is very simple.

****e attracts flees, and like the many other sincere posters about you on here, your wum posts attract my comments!

Now go cry somewhere else about the agonies and abuses of being called a door knob!

Lol...

also seems a lot for a football business that lost £7m in the last set of accounts. Mind you invest when things are going well might be the idea. The Connelly new deal muddies the waters. Will he play all season, where does Barnard fit in, what if Lambert gets injured, if Guly the cover? Can the new striker play with Barnard/Connelly?

I genuinely think a CB is more important than a striker. We have Lambert, Guly, Forte, Barnard and Connolly with Doble in reserve. That should really be enough imo.

I would love to see Connolly as a regular starter but he appears to be so injury prone I can't belive he could last a full season and will therefore be no more than a good squad player.

Le fondre is worth a gamble, have a feeling he could make a big step up.

If we sign a striker we should aim for one proven at CCC level, most of ours aren't except Connolly. Le Fondre no better than what we have and not even proven in L1. Decent buy for someone but not us.
