Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger hits out at Man City counterpart Roberto Mancini for publicly declaring an interest in signing Gunners midfielder Samir Nasri: "These comments are not allowed, it is against the basic rules of football and Roberto Mancini should be informed," Wenger told Sky Sports News. "What we want is respect. We will not comment on any players at other clubs. It is time football in England came back to these basic rules."

What a pleb. So he's allowed to publicly tap up half of our youth team but when someone does it to him, it's not allowed?

I love watching Arsenal and Wenger has to take great credit for the football they play, but he's a total monger sometimes...

Could we tempt Nasri to Southampton? It's quite clear that he is going to be leaving Arsenal sooner rather than later, and this evening Adkins has hinted at maybe one or two new faces arriving here before Saturday. I think the Championship would definately suit his flamboyant style of play but the prospect of top European opposition playing us next week could just swing the deal. Just depends who's willing to bid more for him between Man City, United and us.

Spanish press; Arsenal & Barcelona agree a fee of £34million rising to £40million, Fabregas will take #4 shirt which Thiago has given up

Arsenal have become the joke club of English football.

They have pretentions of winning the league yet all of their star names want out and they have been beaten to the punch for replacements.

If they finish 6th they will have had a good season, yet they will sack Wenger before that happens, so they will finish lower in the resultant turmoil.

no thank. Not the sort of player we need. Didn't really perform second half of the last season and showed he has an attitude as clearly wanted out. Too lightweight for the championship as well. He'd struggle to get the side ahead of lallana, De Ridder, Guly and Hammond as well

I somehow doubt Wenger will be sacked, or that they'll slide to a 6th place finish. Apart from Fergie, is there a better manager in British football? He's doing what we'd expect Adkins to do - defend his team and keep on building, no matter who walks out the door.

And he's now got £60m to spend doing it.

I dunno, Wenger is a nob for his double standards and general stubborness in some cases. But, in an age where results are always prioritised over playing good football I admire him for bucking the trend and sticking to his guns about the way he wants his team to play, even at the cost of success.

Probably wouldn't be saying that if I was an Arsenal fan.

Wenger is a hypocrite for a multitude of reasons.

He seems to spot every occasion an opposition player should have been sent off, but never sees red-card offences from his players.

Oh, and who can forget his comment a few years back about how the fixture list should be complied in such a way that the big teams dont play each other for the first couple of months ?

Arsenal will fall from grace there finish 5th this season and wenger will quit or be sacked because of there fickle fans, he turned arsenal into a team that was great backlash from his own success, there then lose wilkshire and a few others and fall further down the pecking order in european football, but if they do have a poor season this year for there standards and the youngsters get plenty of playing time then next season they could be a major threat if they keep all the u23 players and keep wenger.
