dune Posted 15 July, 2011 Posted 15 July, 2011 What looks good in your opinion? Personally I don't think you can beat a quality pair of brogues. They'll always be fashionable. Timeless elegance.

hamster Posted 15 July, 2011 Posted 15 July, 2011 (edited) You have no taste. They are my favourite shoes. Made in Northants and therefore superb quality. Whatever situation you like. I know the owner's son who now runs the show. Lovely unassuming chap, voluptuous wife... They are extremely well put together using traditional methods ala cobblers of yesteryear. Maybe I shouldn't be telling you this as it was a few pints of Frog Island in The Boat, Stoke Bruerne and could be a secret, but 2 years ago they changed suppliers for the lateral vamp ('upper' to you peasants) to an inferior quality leather. Still very good stuff but that decision (cost based) lost them a few (a small perahaps insignificant number of) customers. It possibly kept them from going bust though tbf. All in all a very good shoe for the wanabee toff. Persoanlly I dont like wearing shoes with smooth soles, I like a bit of purchase. hth. Edited 15 July, 2011 by hamster
Weston Super Saint Posted 15 July, 2011 Posted 15 July, 2011 Where did you find it? Pretty sure I lost it in the vicinity of Redlands County Primary School in about 1979. Can you post it back to me, so the pair can be re-united?
