benjii Posted 13 July, 2011 Posted 13 July, 2011 I really liked this poster and am jolly fed up with his banning.
Dig Dig Posted 13 July, 2011 Posted 13 July, 2011 What the **** is going on!? Can't look away for second without someone banned or a thread locked. Just let everyone get on with it, it's a forum FFS
opthomps Posted 14 July, 2011 Posted 14 July, 2011 Yes, it's a massive shame. I much preferred the name "The Stain" too. Dune is to blame, and should be flogged.
latter day saint Posted 14 July, 2011 Posted 14 July, 2011 Id like to adopt his avatar but what was it? maybe we could use this
Special K Posted 14 July, 2011 Posted 14 July, 2011 I can't be arsed to look through the threads to see why he was banned. Can anyone enlighten me?
pap Posted 14 July, 2011 Posted 14 July, 2011 Just read the Hypo thread. It's all there, three pages, and rather amusing.
egg Posted 14 July, 2011 Posted 14 July, 2011 I can't be arsed to look through the threads to see why he was banned. Can anyone enlighten me? Dune and hypo alleged that the stain and deppo were one and the same. Apparently that was conclusive evidence and worthy of a ban.
Verbal Posted 14 July, 2011 Posted 14 July, 2011 Dune and hypo alleged that the stain and deppo were one and the same. Apparently that was conclusive evidence and worthy of a ban. That would be the same Dune who was banned as Stanley on THIS forum.
Thedelldays Posted 14 July, 2011 Posted 14 July, 2011 That would be the same Dune who was banned as Stanley on THIS forum. and SF76
pap Posted 14 July, 2011 Posted 14 July, 2011 Just goes to show that all banning really achieves is another fiver in the kitty.
Verbal Posted 14 July, 2011 Posted 14 July, 2011 Mods and Steve Grant and Baj really do need to rethink this in my opinion. Permanent banning seems to be a simple tripwire offence - you get to a certain number of infractions and off you go. But it should be a measure of the last resort. I read (mostly) and post on here for two reasons. I'm a Saints supporter and I enjoy the entertainment. Permanent bannings take away from both.
Verbal Posted 14 July, 2011 Posted 14 July, 2011 whose next? poll please mods Be careful what you wish for, Bournemouth.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 14 July, 2011 Posted 14 July, 2011 Be careful what you wish for, Bournemouth. I have been banned many times I am a good boy now!

Well, for me it's becoming a serious case of voting with my feet. This is not the only place to get Saints discussion. It's the best right now, but it's travelling down a dangerous road in which people are getting banned for forum banter. And shame on anyone reporting people to mods for these trivialities. Grow a pair. When you think about the real problems we could have, such as out-and-out racism or incitement to violence, the banning decisions look like off-the-cuff errors of judgement which fail to appreciate why people come to forums in the first place.

benjii Posted 14 July, 2011 Author Posted 14 July, 2011 Permanent bannings make Verbal less of a Saints supporter?
Special K Posted 14 July, 2011 Posted 14 July, 2011 Dune and hypo alleged that the stain and deppo were one and the same. Apparently that was conclusive evidence and worthy of a ban. Oh, ok. Stain and Deppo are the same? Weird, Stain seemed alright
Verbal Posted 14 July, 2011 Posted 14 July, 2011 Permanent bannings make Verbal less of a Saints supporter? I was hoping no one would spot that little stumble. Bugger. Less of a saintsweb supporter though.
