Leslie Charteris Posted 12 July, 2011 Share Posted 12 July, 2011 ...Jason Puncheon. He hasn't travelled to Switzerland and there is chatter about him training with the youth teams. Anybody seen him? Apparently, he is admired by the fish fingerers and they would like him down at Nottarf Krap. They might even give us Liam Lawrence in PX. CHDAJFU? Pat from Poole Posted 12 July, 2011 Share Posted 12 July, 2011 I think Lawrence can play anywhere in midfield. Good player. Can't see Cheats letting us have him though.

stevegrant Posted 12 July, 2011 Share Posted 12 July, 2011 Where have you got the Liam Lawrence thing from? 2+2=5, presumably, much like most rumours. FWIW, Lawrence's agent has been touting him around to any club who'll give him the time of day since January. However, Pompey appear to be in a position where they wouldn't have to accept a knock-down fee for him at the moment.

Fowllyd Posted 13 July, 2011 Share Posted 13 July, 2011 Thank you! Like I said, there has been chatter. No one seems to know what Puncheon's up to, however. When he's not busy training with the reserves/youth players he's spending his time on his very own naughty step. My guess would be that, as it appears to be common knowledge that player and club wish for no more of each other, any club looking to sign Puncheon will bide their time and look to get the best price possible. Saints are no doubt hoping for enough interest to start a bidding war of sorts, even if it doesn't start till the last few days of August.

Saint Fan CaM Posted 13 July, 2011 Share Posted 13 July, 2011 Our very forthright Chairman will ensure that we get a reasonable price for the trouble-maker or he'll end up rotting on the sidelines. Wouldn't be surprised to find out that he's not even allowed anywhere near the youth teams given his attitude and we don't need that kind of disruption on the bus. Saint J 77 Posted 13 July, 2011 Share Posted 13 July, 2011 They should get him to clean the players boots while he is rotting on the naughty step. He might as well be doing something useful while he is still on the pay role!

Kingsbridge Saint Posted 13 July, 2011 Share Posted 13 July, 2011 Puncheon has painted himself well and truly into a corner. Nicola will sell him for a good price, whenever it suits him. In the meantime, he can fester well away from my team.

So maybe they could get him to clean the boods of the Academy players while the first team squad are away. That'd bring him down a peg or four. SNSUN Posted 19 July, 2011 Share Posted 19 July, 2011 Puncheon is a cockle. I'd take a nappy full of poo in exchange for him, he's a disruptive influence that doesn't want to play for us and I would like to see him sod off at the earliest opportunity. That said, getting money for him would be a bonus.

Window Cleaner Posted 19 July, 2011 Share Posted 19 July, 2011 PSG are the new Man City. Arent they expecting Wenger to join them next summer? Haven't heard that, Antoine Koumbouare is the coach there and they've just appointed Leonardo as Sporting Director, can't really see Wenger wanting to work with Leonardo who'll no doubt be appointed head coach as well as sporting director the very instant PSG don't win 10 matches in a row by at least 5 clear goals. Chez Posted 20 July, 2011 Share Posted 20 July, 2011 Puncheon = El Hadj Diouff yeah right, one spits at fans, the other has a bust up with a member of the coaching staff that makes it difficult for him to work at the club. Notice a difference there? Some of the stuff written about Puncheon on here by people that have never met him, know nothing about him or what has taken place over the last few months is rediculous. This hatred people have for him is borne out of mostly rumour and speculation. Get a grip. If he has bumped into you and sucked his teeth in a derogitary way then fair enough, you go for your life, but some of you need to wind your necks in a bit as you are just following a crowd. I must point out that there are always two sides to every story. Even if the guy is a bit of a tosser (he certainly acted the big one the last time my mate crossed his path), all this abuse is a bit much. The implication was that he appears to have a bust up with coaching staff wherever he goes not that he gobs at anyone. Does go in with studs up occasionally but show me a team who hasn't a player or two guilty of that.
