the stain Posted 11 July, 2011 Share Posted 11 July, 2011 That Portsmouth takeover thread is the same - far too long for anyone to wade through. Get rid of it and if anything happens, someone can start a new thread. The precedent has been set.
Matthew Le God Posted 11 July, 2011 Share Posted 11 July, 2011 That Portsmouth takeover thread is the same - far too long for anyone to wade through. Get rid of it and if anything happens, someone can start a new thread. The precedent has been set. Stuff has been happening daily/weekly and continues to do so in the Pompey thread to keep us entertained. No need to lock it.
the stain Posted 11 July, 2011 Share Posted 11 July, 2011 No, it can't be one rule for one thread and another rule for another thread. Think about what you're saying - a thread that directly affects Saints and the squad is locked on the whim of some jumped up thread nazi, whilst another thread, about a team who has nothing to do with Saints is allowed to continue. It makes no sense. It's as if we're being punished for being interested in Saints. This is PC gone mad.
the stain Posted 11 July, 2011 Share Posted 11 July, 2011 And this whole thing has made a mockery of the Site Suggestion forum. Who made the ultimate decision to close the rumours thread? Own up - who was it? I bet they never passed it through the admin team (steve and Baj). I actually think heads should roll over this.

Dalek2003 Posted 11 July, 2011 Share Posted 11 July, 2011 Its ok you can remind them again for the next 7 years in your trolling way. Will do, but as i said after being lambasted about our lack of signings, I will wait and see come the start of the season. IMO if we do not make any more significant signings we will struggle. Now we'll just have to wait and see what happens.
pap Posted 11 July, 2011 Share Posted 11 July, 2011 Struggle has got to be relegation, hasn't it? I remain predictably optimistic regarding our chances. I accept that we probably will need a couple more signings to compete for promotion, but I think we have a very decent team now. If we made no other signings before the end of the window, we wouldn't struggle. The point is moot because we will make further signings.

St Chalet Posted 11 July, 2011 Share Posted 11 July, 2011 Apologies, thought I had put this thread out of it's misery earlier. To correct a point above, I understand Registered Users can start threads.
