jjsaint Posted 8 July, 2011 Posted 8 July, 2011 Just hope that the date doesn't get moved, and that I can get tickets to the match!
Griffo Posted 9 July, 2011 Posted 9 July, 2011 Just hope that the date doesn't get moved, and that I can get tickets to the match! You won't have any problem getting tickets for the match. The away end holds over 4,000.
jjsaint Posted 9 July, 2011 Author Posted 9 July, 2011 Sounds good, I've not been to Turf Moor so it'll be an experience!
saint_coxy Posted 11 July, 2011 Posted 11 July, 2011 Head for the Cricketers, that's where a lot of Saints fans will be before the game
Neil Posted 11 July, 2011 Posted 11 July, 2011 Good planning! Biggest danger is rain / snow / frozen pitch rather than tickets! This is the Lancashire wastelands in September after all...
Dan Posted 11 July, 2011 Posted 11 July, 2011 Went to Burnley last time, theres certainly not much going for the place.
This Charming Man Posted 14 July, 2011 Posted 14 July, 2011 Went to Burnley last time, theres certainly not much going for the place. The only decent thing about Burnley is the blonde barmaid at the cricket club.
toofarnorth Posted 2 September, 2011 Posted 2 September, 2011 This will be my first away game for ages. Looking forward to it.
West End Saint Posted 2 September, 2011 Posted 2 September, 2011 Got my tickets today 8 of us going up & having a nite out in Manchester after the game looking forward to it not done Turf Moor so it is another tick off the list. We are going by Train 7.03 out of Parkway hope we get the 3 points COYS
shurlock Posted 3 September, 2011 Posted 3 September, 2011 Anyone know what London Saints are doing for this one- how much they're paying and what time they are going up and coming back?

Sour Mash Posted 4 September, 2011 Posted 4 September, 2011 £33 for London Saints members Leaving Euston 8.30 Arrive Preston 10.38 Preston to Burnley either 10.54 or 11.54 get to Machester Rd 11.27 or 12.26 Return Depart Burnley Manchester Road: 1757 (also subject to confirmation from Northern Rail). Arrive Preston: 1833 Depart Preston: 1901 Arrive Euston: 2138 Is it members only or £2 more for non-members?
Sour Mash Posted 5 September, 2011 Posted 5 September, 2011 yes £2 more for non members That's a cracking deal to be fair, must be half price compared to booking independentley at this (relatively) short-notice.
JRM Posted 5 September, 2011 Posted 5 September, 2011 Train could be busy that day with Spurs going to Wigan, especially on the way back, but that is a very good deal being run by the london saints. proper northern away day, very tempting, but think i'll save my money £35 train + £26 match ticket still a bit steep, still looking at over a ton for the day out. First time we've played them since the relegation game when saints invaded the pitch and a few objects were thrown, not sure if their fans will remember that, bound to be a bit of spice from the transfer speculation surrounding Rodriguez (who will score against us 100% ) and that we have Fox and Cork ex-Burnley.
View From The Top Posted 5 September, 2011 Posted 5 September, 2011 I asked my nipper if he wanted to travel up as we went last time. His answer was no as it's a northern doghole. I felt very proud.

Was that the one we went 3 down in the first 15 mins or so but could have been 6 or 7 down? Pi $$ed down all day. Almost forgot the place was a sh*thole.

saints_is_the_south Posted 11 September, 2011 Posted 11 September, 2011 Been to Burnley before, can recommend the cricket club for pre-match pints. Right next to the away end.
Benali Saint Posted 13 September, 2011 Posted 13 September, 2011 Going by Minibus. Should be a good day out
Denzil Posted 15 September, 2011 Posted 15 September, 2011 Has anyone been sent their match tickets yet? I'm still waiting for mine.
saint_jas Posted 18 September, 2011 Posted 18 September, 2011 Anyone know if this will be pay on the day. I am very tempted to go, but a 7 hr 30 min train journey for no game not worth it !! (er return journey)

Dr Who? Posted 19 September, 2011 Posted 19 September, 2011 Really want to go to this game but have a family meal on Saturday evening, and they are not interested in moving the meal to Burnley!!!
saintchrissy Posted 20 September, 2011 Posted 20 September, 2011 Our first away match this season, another one ticked off the list.
