Jason Puncheon Wants to move down the M27

Secret Site Agent

Recommended Posts

It seems that there always has to be one despised member of the squad these days. Sort of routine now at Saints - maybe other clubs too. A kind of scape goat, one to blame and hate. One to bully - just like in the playground, there is always one who is picked on.

Personally, I hate the very idea of booing our players, no matter how bad a game they have had. It is unsporting, unhelpful and frankly darn right rude. Short of a player openly and explicitly saying they hate the club I see no reason to ever embark on such vicious nastiness to any of our players.

Apparently Jason Puncheon, according to my HP, want to move to Pumpy.

Just to kick us in the nuts a bit more no doubt.

Or it's his agent stiurring the brown stuff as well, (to force us to keep him, as no one else wants him, as iif NC and NA are that petty.)

Wouldn't wish Puncheon on my worst enemy, but the cheating blue few down the road? Willingly.

Thoughts here please.

Why do you see it as a kick in the nuts for us? I think we all want to see the back of him and couldn't give a toss where he ends up.

Because it had a few bad games and got booed, and instead of taking it like a man and improving his performance, he sulked like a little girl and and made it clear he wanted to get out at the first opportunity.

As the excellent League 1 Minus 10 blog put it in the season round-up: http://leagueoneminus10.blogspot.com/

JASON PUNCHEON started the season on the right wing and was simply dreadful. Looked unfit and looked like he didn’t care. He missed open goal after open goal and then got annoyed when the crowd got fed up with it. Virtually the first act when Nigel Adkins came into the building (oh yes) was to set Jason some KPIs and these were “shoot in the general direction of the ****ing goal occasionally” and “stop being a sulky ****”. Having failed on both scores, he was dropped in favour of an only-just-17 year old and he threw his toys out and got loaned out to Millwall where bizarrely, he banged in a few goals. A brief return to us followed which included a decent game in the FA Cup v Blackpool who then signed him for the remainder of their Premier League campaign where he has again done ok. Technically still our player but we won’t see him back here as long as he has a hole in his ass. Not happy with being a squad player and in all likelihood, a dissenting voice to Nigel’s plan of squad unity so bye.... and rightly so. It would be the best outcome all round if we got rid of him and anything over £400k would represent good business for the club.

Well if nothing else they don't know what an "open goal" is.

Not a fact at all. Seems to be a myth that has built as to what he wore that day and used against his character.

You can criticise Puncheon for a lot of things, but for the service he wore black shoes, black office trousers and a black shirt (without a tie). Not as smart as the other 1st team players, but still "smart".

Jesus, not again. Sure as eggs is eggs. It'll be the terrible things Kevin Phillips said about us next...

Ooh, and if we're lucky we can start the racism argument as well...

Any idea's what our valuation is? £1m?

Yep, I'm told around the £1m mark. If we can get anything near to that, I'd take it.

There has been lots of enquiries made by a number of clubs ranging from top tier to League One teams, but nobody has matched our valuation YET.

My personal opinion is that we're holding out for too much, and when he does eventually leave, it'll be for between 500K-750K.

Whatever happens, I'd be extremely surprised if we ever saw Punch play for Saints again!

I work in Ringwood and was getting fuel at the garage near David Lloyd leisure centre so I can only assume he lives in the Ringwood area.

In one of my old jobs, when I previously worked for Hants CC, I spoke to his Wife/Girlfriend to do with School places for his kid. This was approximately this time last year. He had just moved into a house in Botley/Broad Oak. I remember because at the time, that area was heavily over subscribed for school places, so they probably would have had trouble getting a School place. One of the only times i've been ITK! :) I believe there are a few Saints and Pompey players around this neck of the woods.

Yeh I hate that too Chez Mate so I don't blame you moving to a new seat and you moving to the Northam yeah because that's where I am or were you in the Northam already Mate!?!

Kingsland in line with 6 yard box. Moving round closer to the Northam as soon as we are allowed.

- The fact that he wore jeans to Markus' memorial service.

You seem to have enough reasons for not liking the guy, why do you continue to describe this as a fact when the video shows it isn't?

Skate mate says skates have bid a million. That's the rumour on the wrong side of Park Gate.

Even joking I can't stand one person feeling sorry for him. He's got himself a big contract knowing full well he wasn't a goalkeeper. No-one will pay him 10% of his wage, so he'll sit it out as long as possible, then no doubt retire or drift in non league football. That's low end non league, no conference or blue square south/north. He's nowhere near good enough for that level. The worst keeper I've seen in any level of competitive football.

Scary to think that he's been on the bench a few times (when Bart was injured). We were one injury (or sending off) for Kelvin from disaster. I think getting a proper 2nd or 3rd choice GK is essential.

If he doesn't want to play for Saints, as has become consistently obvious, then get the best price and get rid of him as soon as possible. Wherever he goes he will struggle to be consistent and no doubt move on to somewhere else again soon! An agents dream!!

I'd like to point out at this point that someone had a go at Kevin Phillips on the "most excited by a signing since..." thread, so only the one about Saints fans not taking to black players as easily as white ones and we'll have ticked all the boxes.

Other than Puncheon, all the black players we've used in the last 2 seasons have been well taken to - Jaidi, Antonio, Waigo, Guly, Chamberlain, Otsemobor, Thomas, Gobern. Good or not, we haven't had bad feelings towards that lot. Puncheon is just a ****.

Yesterday, actually : http://www.lcfc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10274~2387002,00.html

Peltier, Danns, Schmeichel, St Ledger, Nugent and an offer for Matt Mills accepted by Reading too...

btw I guess that Nugent will be playing against Real Madrid on 30th July. It will be interesting to see how Leicester v Real Madrid compares with Saints v Athletic (not that Puncheon will figure -just to cling to thread theme)
