I'll start with two. 1. Alan Blayney's save v Newcastle. No footage seems to exist, but it rivalled Gordon Banks v Pele for the sheer audacity of the third choice keeper keeping the greatest English marksman of his generation at bay with an instinctive save over the bar from a seemingly unstoppable downward header. 2. Wayne Thomas' goal v Ipswich I would argue he was a waste of a million pounds. Always injured and not that good, we needed a new centre back and we were held to ransom on this basis. All was forgiven though when he unleashed a true pearler from 30 yards out to the right of the penalty area into the top left hand corner. No 'keeper in the world could have saved that. I remember on a rather dull evening in March we got a free kick, about 30 yards out slightly right of centre. Everyone was expecting Bale to take it, so when Skacel knocked the ball 5 yards to the right everyone groaned. Then Baird hit an absolute howitzer into the top corner to put us 2-0. Of course we threw it away in the second half and drew 2-2. Harding vs Tranmere. Would have been around December '09 I think. Another decent defender, not known for his goals. Got the ball on the left, just outside the penalty box and thumped it into the top corner. Nothing will beat that Thomas goal though. That was just biblical.

Jo Tessems goal against Spurs in the FA Cup 3rd round, 4-0 or 4-1 game. David Hughes scissor kick away to QPR sometime in mid 90's Alan Nielsons goaline clearance away to Toon mid 90's Paul Jones unbelievable save away to Man Utd (think it was the 3-3 Taibi error game) where he managed a close range double save before Utd scored anyway. Crazy how I can remember these but seem to forget the wifes birthday?!?!

Must be the high point of his career, him and Peter Crouch combined to excellent effect to put that year's champions league winners to the sword. Prutts put in a dynamic display from the right wing and scored a simply sublime goal to put us ahead. Soon afterwards came his madness against Arsenal and his slide into the wilderness began in earnest.
