Fairly reasonable prices I think, aybe even "good value" ? It's still midweek in the middle of summer though which means plenty of people will be away or decide to do other things, and I don't get paid until a couple of days later, so might not bother anyway.

I don't think anyone can argue with £10 to see a Prem club that near to the start of the season, even in a friendly.

Am I right in thinking it will be the west brom reserve side playing? BBC fixtures list show them as West Brom XI

Guess it won't mean much if we beat them as like Blackpool they'd have that excuse.

Pretty much every pre-season side could be any kind of combination of first teamers and reserves, that's sort of the point.

Not really. There are plenty of instances of a full first team being put out, that is one of the reeasons why a team is often described as a XI, to tell fans that it will be a reserve side, i.e. Saints at Kettering.

Calling it an "XI" just gives them the opportunity to rotate if they wish. It doesn't mean they will or they won't. Just like I didn't say they would, just that they could.

West Brom's website suggests we aren't playing an XI side, but then apparently they're also playing first team games against Rochdale the day before and Bristol City three days after. Hmm. If I had to guess, I reckon that they'll probably send a mix of first teamers and reserves against us.

Ticket prices are quite reasonable, will be going to this one if I can.

I just booked 3 seats in block 7 and were given seat numbers. When is it not when playing at St Marys?

Only the Ted Bates Trophy match against Bayern that immediately springs to mind, though one of the JPT early rounds (might have been Torquay actually) in 2009/10 was a fairly liberal attitude to seating, given the massive amount of empty seats. Pretty sure that one had seat numbers on the tickets though.

Ticket prices pretty good I think for a friendly against Prem opposition and players getting near to match fitness. Will be interesting to see if we can cope with the extra pace that they will inevitable present us with. Today I purchased 5 seats in block 30 BTW.

Last year the first time the first XI played together was against Plymouth and what a mess that was. The final fixtures needs the first team to get into a rythm playing together without 6/7 players that will not figure anywere near the first team for the rest of the season.
