SuperMikey Posted 1 July, 2011 Author Posted 1 July, 2011 I have had problems with my signal recently actually, but they're making changes to my contract (which counts as material detriment apparently) but won't let me do anything about it. They're putting prices up on everything except the stuff I don't use...
Micky Posted 1 July, 2011 Posted 1 July, 2011 Are they allowed to do that - how long is the contract, surely your are entitled to the service levels that were agreed at the time of signing the contract until said contract expires. Or was there some cunning gargon in the small print?
SuperMikey Posted 1 July, 2011 Author Posted 1 July, 2011 24 month contract, started in Feb of last year so got a fair while left. Can't really afford to pay what I am paying at the moment, so looking for any chance to duck out of the contract tbf. The bored-sounding Polish lady on the other end of the phone told me that it's in the small print that they can make these changes, but I know from googling around the subject that I have the consumer right to reject the changes. Lots of people have done it before, and I should imagine they're dealing with a lot of people wanting to cancel their contracts like me at the moment.
