Had a letter from the coppers through my door last night.

Apparently some bright sparks have decided enough is enough and are going to block the road and burn their refuse on it.

Now, whilst I'm looking to forward to watching some small scale disorder from the comfort of my balcony, I do think its a bit of a strange way to vent your anger.

I'm totally p1ssed off with the state the streets (and my bin cupboard) but I'm not sure burning it in the middle of the road is a good idea.

Anyway, if anyone has any rubbish building up that they want to get rid of, it seems you can pop down to Regents Park Road at 10pm Friday Night.

Also, how the hell was this organised, facebook I guess....

Weird.

Someone needs to find out where that Tory Council leader lives and dump it all on his front drive.

Why he's not the one on strike, he's the one trying to save jobs rather than hand out redundancys

He should either be out driving the trucks himself or out signing on outside contractors.

Are we getting a council tax refund?

The teachers and binmen dont get paid on the days they strike. Where's the money going???

It will be spent on cleaning up the streets

To fund the Sea Museum (£15m) and refurbish Oxford St (£800k) (both unnecessary).

So did it happen?

Was there an inferno of buring rubbish?

Or was it just a lot of hot air?

And if it did happen, would it be any different from a normal Friday night in Shirley?
