thesaint sfc Posted 28 June, 2011 Share Posted 28 June, 2011 Is there something I can download on my macbook which will block BT from seeing I'm downloading torrents so they don't cap my torrent download speeds? My speeds are terrible when downloading torrents (No - I don't want to use newsgroups)

thesaint sfc Posted 28 June, 2011 Author Share Posted 28 June, 2011 *infraction* I dont wanna pay Boj. Also I found it rubbish for certain things. I like my DVDRIPS in 700MB sizes. Whenever I searched for a DVD of something I had to search though it in 30 different languages and ranging from 1MB to 239732986437634TB's before I found what I wanted. Then I downloaded it and it wasn't what it was described to be. I like how torrents only get lots of seeds if they are actually worth downloading. Newsgroups are a pain! mdearlove Posted 29 June, 2011 Share Posted 29 June, 2011 TBF if you use a decent NZB site then you can see which are the best files to grab on newsgroups - NZBMatrix shows the total number of downloads, along with comments from people who have downloaded. I expect Newzbin does the same. Don't think there is anything you can do to stop BT seeing the P2P - only to block them from seeing which files you are downloading using ssl. You missed my point, Giganews now provide a UK based VPN, meaning you can do whatever you want, with no detection.
