...after throwing himself from colleague's car.

It is the second time he has been responsible for the death of a dog left in a vehicle.

He was disciplined over the loss of a spaniel at the Metropolitan Police's prestigious dog training centre in July 2004 – but went on to be promoted.

In Sunday's incident the animals collapsed in the rear of his airless car as temperatures rose to 29c (84f) at the same training centre.

What a ****ing idiot. Anyone with half a brain knows not to leave a dog in a car on a hot day. The fact he's a dog handler and has already been responsible for an animals death makes it unbelieveable.

He should not have been allowed to own an animal after the first incident.

you would think someone who works with dogs daily, transporting them about in a vehicle would have a routine they followed automatically concerning the dogs but no this bastard shows what an utter moron he is by forgetting the two noisey dogs just behind him! And its not the first time ! FFS ! hate bastards like this !

Amazing how quickly thay died though, werent they only in there for an hour?

The hottest day of the year, it can get serious hot in a vehicle. And Dogs apparently cannot keep themselves cool as effeciently as we do, they cannot sweat so they pant... Panting in the hot air really quickly raises their body temperature.

I wonder what punishment he's going to recieve. If he doesnt get the sack and isn't allowed to own an animal ever again he can consider himself very lucky!

He'll probably get another promotion.
