Haye V Klitchko

Haye was never going to win on points in krautland, why did he ever agree to fight there? Klitchko said he'd fight him anywhere blablabla, its like the vegas hatton fight where it had to be a straight knockout for ricky or lose on points whatever.

Decent showing imho.

I think Haye can take a lot of pluses from it but Booth got it wrong, the tactics were amateur to be honest. His game plan from the 1st round was to get Wlad to throw the left and right then Haye to throw the right and hope it connects. Then rinse and repeat. But there was no back up for when it was going wrong. And that is what seperates the good from the great. Boxing isn't about hoping to land one punch, anyone can go in there and try that.

Other then that the ref was a total joke.......i don't think he knew what the rules actually were. Such a huge fight you can't put a guy like that in there.

But you got to give it to Wlad. He isn't exciting but he is good at what he does. His defence is so much better then it was against the likes of Sanders and Brewster and that has to be down to Manny. If Haye decides to keep on going he needs to try and go with either Roach or Steward imo. But i think he should retire, and so should Jim Watt......he seems to think only jabs are point scorers these days...

Haye can talk a good fight..........and that's all he actually did.

He got battered by a better fighter.

Lennox Lewis tore his brother to pieces and I think if he came out of retirement, he would stop Haye in a few rounds. Haye is good but not that good per se.

Then again, I have Lennox in my top heavyweights of all time, so maybe that's not such a shock.

Huge let down, genuinely thought Haye could do it last night. Even in the last few rounds when he was clearly going to lose on points, he wasn't throwing enough punches, let alone connecting. Poor, poor tactics - should retire, but a sh!te way to go. Oh, and Klitchko is ******** boring. Fair play though he did what he needed to do, jab jab step back. No excuses for Haye though, the better man won.

Genuinely embarrased him wearing the UK shorts and being such a prat what an ambassador and what a prize k...b.

the guy is now out today spouting more rubbish about how well he did???? and how he wants a rematch hope he gets put on his arse once and for all then he can hopefully retire for good

To be honest i liked Haye before the fight, but have to say he's come across as a bit of a cock since he last night. Kitchko on the other hand has conducted himself with class the whole way through and proven himself not only to be an excellent boxer but a decent bloke, hats off to the guy.

Very good interview with David Haye on Talksport just now, admitted that Klitchko was the better fighter and that he had let down the fans, didn't hide - as someone who talks the talk & didn't walk the walk, expects to take the stick.

Says will be being interviewed by Sky next.

Did say that he does want a rematch but the ball is firmly in Klitchko's court.

Interview will be going up on their website fairly soon if anyone is interested.

just seen an interview on SSN.

yep fair play to him...says he likes to mouth off before the fight...talks the talk etc and this time was well beaten....

wants a re-match and feels that the money he generates will get him that...

very sorry to fans for letting them down and he absolutely gutted he did what he did.....still, klitchko never KO him like he said he would

Brilliant update here on the new BBC sport news update

1356:BBC Sport's Ben Dirs thinks David Haye's has four options in the wake of his defeat to Wladimir Klitschko in Hamburg. He could fight Wladimir again, take on his brother Vitali, fight some of the fringe contenders in his division to work his way back into contention or retire.

What other options were there then Ben? Genius
