Sheaf Saint Posted 26 June, 2011 Author Share Posted 26 June, 2011 What was he doing there at his age? It seems odd. Why does it seem odd? Maybe he just liked live music. I've been to a few festivals in my time and there are always people from all walks of life and of all ages. The fact that nobody is excluded is one of the great things about them. You just don't like the idea of a senior Tory in his 50s associating himself with thousands of liberal people.

bridge too far Posted 27 June, 2011 Share Posted 27 June, 2011 and you voted for Michael Foot Lol I did when he was alive but he's dead now Michael Foot had more integrity and intelligence in his little finger than any of the current lot. Lord Duckhunter Posted 27 June, 2011 Share Posted 27 June, 2011 Michael Foot had more integrity and intelligence in his little finger than any of the current lot. Appearance mattered not a jot to him, unlike some male politicians who, it is alleged, are dyeing their hair and covering up bald spots (no names, no pack drill) I've read it all now, the bloke was wrong about a whole list of things, would have been a disaster for the Country and had some very dubious friends, former Russian spy Oleg Gordievsky claims Foot was on the KGB payroll for 20 years. But, because he was a scruffy ****, who actually believed the nonsense he came out with, he's held up as some sort of giant. It wasn't until Labour moved on from clowns like him and Benn, that they were able to get elected again.

You just love those strawmen don't you. And I also want to echo what Viking Warrior said. Some really moronic comments on a thread about somebody who has lost his life prematurely and left a family behind. Some people have no shame. And some no sense of humour - do you really think that these remarks would be made if there was even the remotest chance of the family seeing or hearing them? Get over yourself - do!
