Micky Posted 22 July, 2011 Share Posted 22 July, 2011 The law still is still an ass. All three victims of crime were arrested. two held for 24? hours and the third for much longer. and probobly incured huge legal bills over the last month. It was a thought that did actually occur to me - not so much the legal bills, which I admit will probably be very significant. But moreso, how the gentleman concerned was detained and what appeal rights he might now have available to him.

Micky Posted 28 July, 2011 Share Posted 28 July, 2011 Should be quite interesting - not only was there a knife, but also appears that somebody had a gun as well: http://news.sky.com/home/article/16039003 Either way, I'm delighted that the shopkeeper has not been harmed. Perhaps the streets are fighting back, good guys 2 scumbags 0.
Micky Posted 18 September, 2011 Share Posted 18 September, 2011 Anyone for the next round: http://news.sky.com/home/article/16072164 Very sad, but again hard to be anything but on the side of the homeowner.
Saint in Paradise Posted 18 September, 2011 Share Posted 18 September, 2011 Ah well time for some abuse then but I don't care. I have great sympathy for the poor householder who will now be put through the mill for defending himself and then his family who arrived back during this incident. Sorry but I don't feel sad that a scumbag has met his come upance in fact I am quite pleased. I hate scumbags who break into other peoples property and no I don't care how upset their friends and relatives are either. I wonder if they were presented with gifts that the scumbag had obtained illegally they would refuse them. I also wonder if they would be upset if they were the victim of burglary? Anyone found putting tributes to this dead scumbag should be charged with dropping litter. NO I don't read the Daily Mail and I do tend to be more on the left than the right politically speaking but I am sick sorry and tired reading about how hard done by criminals are and how it is that their human effing rights are more than their victims. Rant over.
