Noodles34 Posted 24 June, 2011 Posted 24 June, 2011 Saw him in Tesco about a week after his sacking. Lovely guy he was. Had about 20 bottles of wine in his trolley so not sure what that says but never the less, had no bitter feelings towards Saints or it's fans. Even introduced the lady he was with as his wife to me. Chatted for a bit just like any other good. Has my total respect and best wishes for this new position he has taken on. Maybe they had a deal on, obviously you are referring him to be an alcoholic! Guess it was people like you that said the same about the likes of George Burly, you should be ashamed!
latter day saint Posted 24 June, 2011 Posted 24 June, 2011 Maybe they had a deal on, obviously you are referring him to be an alcoholic! captainchris Posted 24 June, 2011 Posted 24 June, 2011 Errrr blind leading the blind...............Wasn't half the coach that Portaloo was........
Jonnyboy Posted 24 June, 2011 Posted 24 June, 2011 He was known as 'chocolates' in certain circles within saints I believe. Just saying. please explain?
hypochondriac Posted 24 June, 2011 Posted 24 June, 2011 Heard some right dodgy stuff about wotte. Whether true or not I have no idea but I wasn't sad when he left.
Gordon Mockles Posted 26 June, 2011 Posted 26 June, 2011 A bit more than a modicum I would say Gordon.. Best we have had in my living memory IMO Very true. Hadn't considered that. Agreed. Long gone are those days of utter incompetence & questionable, divisive power & ego struggles at the expense of our club. However, on a lighter note, with the SFA's past appointment of Burley & now Wotte involved, it appears evident that the drink problem in Scotland is worse than government stats first indicated.
Matthew Le God Posted 26 June, 2011 Posted 26 June, 2011 Heard some right dodgy stuff about wotte. Whether true or not I have no idea but I wasn't sad when he left. Don't leave it like that! Tell us more, without leaving yourself liable to legal action.
Gordon Mockles Posted 27 June, 2011 Posted 27 June, 2011 Don't leave it like that! Tell us more, without leaving yourself liable to legal action. I heard some rumours too but they were only unsubstantiated rumours so just kept them at the back of my mind. However, I need to be careful about how I comment as Hypo gets a bit sensitive about challenging negative rumours despite him starting one here himself.
stardustonmyfeet Posted 27 June, 2011 Posted 27 June, 2011 Mr Chocolate was the name I heard on this board, ie if he was made of chocolate he would eat himself. Because he loved himself that much. I thought he did alright really, and respect him for at least trying to be our Pearson for that season. We're out of the abyss so that's the main thing.
cellone Posted 28 June, 2011 Posted 28 June, 2011 I never got the impression he stayed for saints, just his own benefit.
Saint Billy Posted 21 October, 2014 Posted 21 October, 2014 Blimey Trousers, do you keep some sort of log on age old threads that could be revitalised?
ART Posted 21 October, 2014 Posted 21 October, 2014 http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/29705901 As long as Koeman hasn't offered him a job at the club. He'd be better off at Man U with LVG. These Dutch guys tend to stick together (hmmm! As does "HOT" chocolate.
